PLaying on an online league site, I managed to have the (mis)fortune of landing nufc. Probably the most I've ever played as NUFC, and I must say, Kevin Nolan is frighteningly good His shot is top notch, and his strength on the ball is decent. Joey Barton is a rock if you play him infront of the back 4. No pace at the back, although Harper, despite low stats, is top quality.

Toon bid hopefuls backed by New York firm
IrishMag replied to Geordiejihad's topic in Newcastle Forum
Typical. Started from page one and read all the way through, not knowing what was at the end of the thread. And of course its the usual story to piss all over our parade -
Shows the true greatness of Sir Bobby.

If we follow the assumption that nothing will happen between now and the game at The Hawthorns, how do you see things going on Saturday evening? The Baggies, with a new young manager eager to prove himself, playing the team that everyone wants to beat, the club thats in turmoil. Hard to be optimistic isn't it? Starting XI? Will Coloccini start or will Bassong play if he is still at the club? Our midfield could well be a decent one, for the Championship. Duff, Barton, Nolan, R. Taylor/Guti. Ameobi and Carroll up front, I'm not sure about them playing together. I reckon if we had a bunch of players who played for the shirt, then everyone could rally and perhaps battle for a point or a sneaky win, but its so, so difficult to be optimistic about this game. Thoughts?

One of those days that I thought would never come. Bobby made supporting Newcastle enjoyable again. He brought a smile to everyones face with his passion and drive and the flowing football that he helped to produce. I saw on the BBC News the snippet of an interview with him years ago, where he just got overwhelmed with excitement when he spoke of how lucky he felt to be living the dream of being in football. That was Bobby Robson. A hero. A true legend. R.I.P. Sir Bobby

Looks like an angry, clumsy tackler.

Games over here were well over 60 euro for a long time, but since Christmas prices have really fallen, new releases are now between 40 and 50 euro.

It completely slipped my mind to mention it, Rovers usually do a video stream of home games on Ustream. I think it was just audio today. Doesn't matter now anyway!

I got an add on facebook from it. No idea how!

If we're lucky...

Sorry, xbox. Should've said!

duffnufc if anyone wants a game. I was ranked in the top 5000 somehow for a while. A bit inconsistent though.

I haven't touched FM in about a month now. Fight Night, FIFA and UFC Undisputed are taking up my attention.

No wonder the country is f*cked

Yes the appearances thing is something I caught onto in my epic Partick Thistle game a while back. It can kill you.

You did well getting Foster at that price. I took Gibson on loan from them and stuck him in midfield alongside Delph. Guthrie is on the right and Sebastian Leto or Chris Brunt on the left. I agree with the bank balance thing, mine is falling at a bit of an alarming rate too. Unlucky getting Llambias as your new owner though!

May I ask why you're trying to shift Colo and Jonas? Cacapa went for me in January, around 15 teams put bids in for him. Metz kept trying for him though and he'd never acccept their wages. I never played Raylor, always had him on the bench though, and a few clubs went for him before Jan for £1.5m. I got Nolan out on a .5m for loan with a future 3.5m fee. I have fo pay half his wages though. I can't shift Duka/Duff or Butt though. I sold Guthrie to City for £4.9m, which I was delighted with. They're trying for Jonas at the minute. I signed fat Ronaldo for £3m and Beckham for something similar. Becks has been really good scoring a couple of winners, Ron picked up two slight knocks in the 2 brief appearances that he's made for me-hopefully not a bad sign! I'm 2nd in the league, WBA were pissing it, but I've narrowed the gap. Skjelbred, Appiah, Owen and Saviola have been fantastic. I'm hoping once I've guaranteed promotion, there's be a better quality of players interested in coming to me. No word from Ashley regarding his happiness or any takeovers so far.(mid Feb) I just wanted a complete clear-out to be honest, maybe a bad move initially but things are settling and I'm making progress up the league, Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher up front are a deadly combination. Did you stick with Harper? I'm playing Krul in goal, he's decent enough.

Barney the 4 or 5 you mentioned who seem impossible to move on are proving the same for me. Gits! Cacapa won't budge, despite Wigans repeated bids. Had to loan out Colo, Gutierrez, Nolan and Ryan Taylor. i'm 11th after 8 games, with Reading top of the pile. "Mike Ashley is happy to stay at the club"

Coke Zero. Hadn't drank it all day today but just got home and I was gasping for a can of it

I've found lately that jockeying works a treat. RT button on xbox. Players against me keep going one way, back the other, while my defender just moves about 3 steps before making the tackle at the perfect time.

Downloaded the demo and it won't work on xbox!! Seems to be a problem for a lot of people. ffs!

Downloaded it and started a game as us. Reputation is now national. Expected to walk the league. I slashed the wage bill in half, most of the squad I sold or loaned out, but can't get shot of Duff, Butt, Smith, Cacapa, Viduka or Xisco. Brought in Chris Brunt, Steven Fletcher, Andrew Surman, Mark Beevers, Fabian Delph, Simon Cox, Kyle Naughton, Per Skjelbred and took Darron Gibson, Sebastian Leto and Michele Paolucci in on loan. First game is away to the Smoggies!
