  1. Going to see Ian Brown in Dublin tonight so I'll miss this one 0-1 Nolan.
  2. God knows I need a laugh...
  3. An amazing/slightly surreal story from the airport in Paris today. I was queuing to buy a coffee when a French man stood beside me and asked was I Irish. I replied yes. He instantly apologised to me, told me of his great shame over what happened, bought my coffee for me and walked off. The reaction of the French has been incredible. Had Algeria not qualified, Paris would've been a ghost town last night. Almost every Frenchie I spoke to was saying sorry and saying how shameful their team and Henry had acted. No chance of a replay happening but this really is a chance of a change for the better happening. People said the extra officials being used in the Europa League are pointless. That handball would've been spotted last night if they were officiating that game.

Ashley ousted by the fans who tell me they won't be making any investment in the club So I've barely spent a penny, had Harewood and Anichebe on loan who got me promoted via getting 6th on the last day on goal difference, and beating Forest on penalties in the final. Had to sell Gutierrez but got shag all of that money to spend. Got Deco free and Malouda for £2.5m, they were my biggest signings. Took in Burdisso on a free, but seriously lacking firepower up front. Lovenkrands is my top scorer! Sitting around mid table, managed to win 1-0 at Anfield and beat Arsenal 1-0 at home, and also beat Sunderland 2-1 in the first game. Its bloody tough!
  5. I did a scorecast 1-0 and Nolan to get it, I didnt even realise they pay out for getting the result right, thought it had to be both. €40 thank you very much!
  6. Points are points and we need them. The league is poor, not meaning to sound like accacadbradacca or anything. I think everyone is just a bit worse than us tbf!
  7. Did anybody else notice Nolan organising the defence for one of their free kicks in the last 10 minutes. He was pulling them all out. Something one of the defenders should've been doing surely..?
  8. Carroll was immense. Bossed Morgan. One thing about Carroll though, he's great with the ball at his feet outside the box but his shooting lets him down at time. What on earth was Harewood trying to do when the ball came to him through the middle near the end? Very strange move by Chrissy putting him on. Hopefully we take this momentum into Saturday and beat Posh. Keep racking up those points, only 4 from last seasons total!
  9. Great at the end seeing James Harper say to Stevie Harper "How the fuck did you keep that one out!?"
  10. If Hughton was to tell Ashley where to go, bearing in mind how he has been treated ie. no funds, not a word from upstairs about anything, where would that leave him? And the team? Kinnear to make a triumphant return? Chrissy is in an unenviable position. I'm sure he fancies a crack at it, he's said he's enjoying it, but to sign long term for that bastard and what it may bring has to be weighing heavily on his mind.
  11. Hopefully the lads can weather another up and at em first half and get a 1 or 2-0 win.
  12. I guess the going got tough for him.
  13. At least they'll stop playing Michael Jackson on the radio now!
  14. Hopefully. Its the first time my beloved Dundalk are in it. So much fun being your local shitty team
  15. Got it earlier this evening. Much, much better than the demo. Played as the toon online in a snow covered Allianz Arena, tore whoever played as Bayern a new arsehole, only won 1-0, a Joey Barton header, but I completely dominated. Our home jersey has the Northern Rock patch in white and the text in black, instead of vice versa. No sign of Vukic in the game. Simpson is the only loanee in.
  16. at home though, I'd back us against anyone in this league at SJP Absolutely, but QPR are on a decent run and seem to be full of goals. We should handle them but I'm sure it won't be a walkover. Preston will be looking to bounce back on Saturday after tonights defeat and The Baggies are wobbling, 6 points from these two home games would be just brilliant!
  17. Fantastic results. Lets hope we build on the weekend and capitalise on tonight. QPR won't be easy though.
  18. We're 4 wins from reaching last seasons points tally
  19. It sinks in a bit more that we're down here when we're losing away to Blackpool on a Wednesday night while the Champions League is all over the telly
  20. Plymouth (h) Ipswich (a) QPR (h) Bristol city (h) All very winnable.
  21. Early days yet. Baggies have had a couple of home games while we have had a couple or tricky away games. Its always a shame to lose such a decent run but onwards and upwards. We'll recover.
  22. All optimism with regard to a takeover has disappeared so this press conference is going to be the announcement that Ashley is to stay and JFK is back
  23. I'm neither excited nor dreading it. Hopefully some emotions will stir up in me closer to kick off. Its football at the end of the day but all that has gone on has done so much to take away from the real important thing. If theres any fight and spirit in the lads then we'll get something. If not, its going to be a long season...
