Nothing to stop all of us on here who are members, all adding each other as friends and then first one in the queue buying seats for everybody.

Hard to believe that less than 18 months ago, the answer to this question would have been nobody and now the answer is everybody.

I'm sure the club are working on a better ticketing system The current one is a hangover from the FCB years

Loads of talk of JWP and Maddison, but if I was taking a player each from Saints and Leicester then it would be Lavia and Barnes Although Lavia's contract may well contain some kind of buy back clause for Man City

So, what does everyone think of xG - good or bad?

There's no point. That's the point. The whole xG thing was invented to increase traffic on footy bulletin boards. -
Not enough xG Doesnt suit the high press or low block Poor in transition Basically he crossed Eddie a few years ago and this is revenge being served cold

Was walking round the ground on Monday morning and wonder how much extra capacity we'd get if we did this for the gallowgate and the east stand? If we took the existing east stand down and then just built the highest, steepest structure possible... Would it add enough to make it worthwhile? It makes perfect sense for the gallowgate -

Its Beyond Good and Evil -
We created chances that added up to a higher value I think the best chance of the day was the one Fernandes had at the end The chances that turned into goals weren't high xG, I think they were 0.12 and 0.11 So, for each one, 90% of the time they dont score those I share your takeaway. We had much more of the ball, but the game lacked many clear cut chances

2 games from this season https://understat.com/match/18382 https://understat.com/match/18348 The 0-0 Arsenal game was pretty even. We had the bigger chance But they dominated possession and forced us to defend deep - xG wont give you that info The 1-4 Saints game Their xG was higher believe it or not Our finishing was just better. Or to some degree the xG model is expecting their keeper to save Wood's and Bruno's efforts, or for them to be blocked more than 90% of the time xG is just a model to possibly give some other insights into games, which may or may not be apparent to the naked eye Its not a religion 🙂

Isnt that what xG is telling us? xG isnt saying we should have won, its saying they scored 2 from chances that were worth way less than that, so their finishing was clinical We scored 0, when we could have expected to score 1 goal, so we were relatively wasteful Its just confirming exactly what you said... Anyway, we are less than 18 months into new ownership and we've been to Wembley, which is more than the previous ownership achieved in 14 years The future's bright, the future is Black and White

I thought they were back after beating Everton and us?

No skin in this game, but surely if someone in P5, P6 or P7 is getting a ticket ahead of someone in P4, then something has gone wrong?

Don't disagree, but in this country its only been mainstream for a relatively short period of time. Its not something you'd associate with Ferguson, and his teams dominated the game here for 15-20 years. Klopp and Pep sides do it and others, like Leeds under Bielsa, and now us under Eddie. I think you are right about the back pass law and I'd add the improvement in modern pitches also makes it more viable as the vast majority of teams dont play route one football any more.
