  1. If I remember the film correctly, he didn't appear to have a cock. Just saying.
  2. I've had the usual post-GNR do fuck all syndrome for 2 weeks that I normally get, then I got man flu, so am also in the fat and bloated camp at the minute. Went for 5 miler last night and it went better than expected ie it didn't kill as much as I thought it would. Going to keep the running going but going back to one night of something competitive like 5-a-side.
  3. I'm sure it's been mentioned before on here (probably in this thread to be honest) but while doing some local research today I accidentally stumbled upon the David Icke forum. It's comedy genius. Apparently, I have a secret Cold War bunker under my house, the entrance to which is in the electric substation along the road. Oh, and the den in the fields I used to play in as a kid that I still go for a run through during the summer is regular used by the police to carry out satanic rituals. Bat. Shit. Mental. Yet strangely intriguing.. http://www.davidicke.com/forum/
  4. Absolutely. Cameron 'worked' in PR and has played a blinder. Hey, I'd say New Labour were brilliant at it for a while.
  5. I saw that the Discovery channel has a series on that follows a group of people who 'believe' and spend their lives hunting Bigfoot.
  6. The problem with the Tories is that they are a bunch of pretentious, pious, and holier than thou bunch of bastards with a whole plethora of career climbing bell ends in the cabinet. Bizarrely, I find Cameron offends me the least. Osbourne, Hunt and especially fucking Gove are vile creatures with their eye on bigger prizes. I've no doubt that all of this trio would sell their mother off at the right price. Having said that, I really have no faith in Labour. Ed Balls as chancellor would scare me even more. Ed Milliband seems like a nice bloke but he comes across as a bit wet and I imagine people perceive that if he were to get into power he would just do as he was told by other leaders. I may be being unfair to him, but unfortunately politics in this country has gone a bit presidential. I expect the Lib Dems to get a kicking as others have said. They were always by other vote but I won't be considering them next election. For the first time in my life, I have no idea who to vote for. I'm hoping for a Monster Raving Loony candidate.
  7. I work with the unemployed. Not for the Job Centre by the way and not for one of the private companies out to make a profit on getting people into jobs, and it is a nightmare getting a job at the minute regardless of skills. It's actually part of my job to keep an eye on the job market and what's going on. Put it this way, if I was offered voluntary redundancy I'd be an idiot to take it. We're seeing people who've done this thinking the job market is like it was 10 years ago and getting the shock of their life. The days of walking out of a job and into another one are long gone. Despite what certain right wing press papers would have you believe, the majority of the unemployed would really like a job. There was a snooty woman on the radio the other day accusing someone who couldn't get a job of being 'too picky'. If only man. I'm not saying there aren't knackers out there who are trying to beat the system, but punishing everyone for these tits is not the answer.
  8. Great career as extras in the Walking Dead surely beckons.
  9. West Ham are looking shit. I'm only mentioning this as the pro-Big Sam press are afraid to.
  10. Regardless of whether you think Labour made the welfare system a lot easier to play or not, cutting people off and adrift so quickly and harshly is not the answer. I work with the unemployed and the community. They are having to use Food Banks more and more despite smarmy Gove thinking it's all a big laugh and all their fault. Also, they don't own 52" flat screen teles and play on their PS3's all day © Daily Mail. Tories shit scared of losing the right wing and home counties 'I'm not racist but' vote to UKIP so on the attack now. By the way, this country needs a socialist party. Or at least remind the one that used to be that it should go back to being one again.
  11. The problem is not the principle of what they're trying to do, it's the way they're going to do it. There is no consideration of people's individual circumstances, and they've cut all funding to any type of support network. Got an extra bedroom? Pay Bedroom tax. What, you have a disabled partner who needs a bed on their own? Tough shit. What's that? There is very little single occupancy social housing in the North East as historically governments only built for families? Couldn't give a toss. You must be on Universal Jobmatch by next Thursday. What? You have no computer skills whatsoever as you've spent your whole life grafting in manual labour? Tough fuck, next Thursday or money stopped.
  12. You know, as I wrote it I did think that KK was indeed an emotional bloke as well. Different in the way Di Canio is, but you're right, and I think that's why he never quite made it to the top. His emotion was quite different though, in that he gave a shit about his players and fans and his tended to manifest itself in a resignation through principle where other managers might have stuck it out. I'm not calling KK a quitter by the way! I LOVED the fact he was so emotional, but I think it was a flaw.
  13. Not happy if Poyet gets it like. He has the hoodoo over us.
  14. Each to their own, but boycotting games I don't really understand. Boycotting merchandise, and food, and drink, and using the betting kiosks whilst in or out the ground I do believe in.
  15. Is there? I'm going, so I've fucked that up. Still, it'll be easy to get served in the pub and no queues for a piss. Bit like the Championship season.
  16. I couldn't disagree more like, I just don't think management (at least top level) is for him. As I said at the time he was appointed, his man management style probably does work really well at lower level where players are in awe of his past and therefore won't question him or answer back. However, in the top league you can't go about verbally and physically having a go at players, they just won't have it. Ferguson might have privately bollocked players if they stepped out of line but he never crossed the lines this nutter does. He might well be a nice guy away from football, but he's emotionally unstable which is why he'll never make a good manager.
  17. If I were the opposition I would certainly be targeting down our right hand side.
  18. ESPN Classic (RIP) were showing an interview Ali did whilst he was on his South Shields visit. It was recorded in the Sports Hall of Eldon Leisure (scene of my toontastic 5-a-side ugly moment with a Scandinavian child) and is an interesting watch if only to see the lercals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m2chT8HKs8
  19. Voyager did leave the solar system as well!
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMnR1QM5Te4
  21. Paolo won't of been hurt by the fans chants on Saturday. Very few people in this country understand a word they say.
  22. Is it wrong of me to say I love this?
  23. Aye, spot on. Whilst he is a twat of a bloke there is no denying that he possible the greatest manager of all time. The bastard.
  24. Aye, not us, but I think they're nowhere the title this year. Actually, I feel a tiny bit sorry for Moyes. Whoever took that job after Ferguson was always going to be on a hiding to nowt. I thought it was always best to be the next but one from Ferguson, as whoever came in would probably struggle to keep the standard up and be massively compared to him and deemed a 'failure.' Next but one can saunter in and look like they're rebuilding and cleaning up the mess.
