For me we appear to have quite a few decent footballers but our system and style is all over the place. Which you would say would put me in the sack Pardew camp. But that would only see Kinnear put in charge. What I'm trying to say it, we look slightly fucked.

Any formation we put in place has to take into consideration that HBA is not going to work for the team when we don't have the ball. I'm not having a dig at him here pro-HTA people, I think even his biggest fans have to admit he doesn't want to know when we're not in possession. We need to set up for that, there's no point in pretending he's going to be sprinting back after a attack breaks down. I would actually build my team around him and set up a formation that accommodates him best, he is by far our best game changer/winner.

Pardew is in a great position now though, this massively takes the pressure off him as everyone will put the blame at Kinnear and Ashley. If I was Pardew I would just start gathering my evidence for constructive dismissal and relax.

I have heard on through the jungle drums that Carr is unhappy with Pardew to be fair, doesn't think the players that he scouted and brought in are being coached to potential. Still, the idea of employing Kinnear as a peacemaker is akin to sending George Bush Jnr to North Korea for diplomatic talks.

It does seem a bit stupid to turn away a player we have obviously scouted and tracked for at least a season who is available on a free. As was said before, I look forward to the better quality free transfer coming in as a replacement.
