  1. I don't have time to watch all.... 4 of his goals, can you give me a summary?
  2. After it filters down and down and down through the "big" clubs.
  3. Aye it was the injuries that really cost us in this regard, Tonali easily lasts a full 90 even in a super intense game, he would have stayed out there, possibly Joelinton too. The additional substitute(s) sees Murphy on for Elanga and possibly means that Murphy tracks back at the end and they don't get an open shot.
  4. We will be a lot better with Gordon on the left. Barnes is a quality player who can cross and score but there's something about him starting a match that sees him be less effective than coming on as a sub. Perhaps it's that he's not the most athletic or strong winger around, whatever it is he's been most effective for us as an impact sub playing limited minutes.
  5. I love that you've latched on to this. Cheick Tiote kicking everyone in training especially Cisse
  6. He slotted right in in what must have been a very difficult first appearance. Great way to learn what this team is all about first hand. With both Tonali and Joelinton looking at time out he will get a good opportunity to show what he can bring.
  7. I think he was gambling on van dijk not knowing he was there and him therefore potentially exposing the ball, which is a fucking long shot. When he gets there at 1000 mph and the ball isn't exposed he tries to pull-out but he's too late (and he closes his eyes in anticipation of the contact). Red is the right decision because he doesn't pull out in time. It's just completely idiotic of him to have gambled in such a way especially at that point in the match. I still believe that there has to be some element of retribution for the nasty shoulder though I don't believe Gordon was ever trying to hurt him physically in any way. Instead he was trying to use his best weapon (pace) against him to potentially embarras him and it has backfired spectacularly. As MF said it was effort and well meaning, just incredibly naive. I don't think he needs a bollocking for it, but instead it needs to be used as a moment to grow.
  8. When you look at this Gravenberch is clearly both feet off the ground with Bruno's leg trapped. Very lucky not to have been injured. If you're sending the ref to the monitor for a yellow to be upgraded with Gordon then it could have also been done here.
  9. He won't give him grief but he will work with him to help him make better decisions in future. Totally agree about whole team holding their heads high. The injuries, bumps and bruises will hurt after this. Let's bring the same intensity to the Leeds game and play them off the park.
