The whole idea of not jumping is such bullshit as Botman was about to spring/jump to actually head the ball when he was elbowed in the face. Jackson, not knowing where the ball was, was never competing for it, so trying to twist it to the point where they're blaming Botman for not jumping well before the ball has even arrived is some next level victim blaming. They've also been comparing it to Mings, who didn't even get a yellow. Apparently VAR thought it was worthy of a yellow but they can only act if it's potentially a red. He broke the poor Bournemouth player's jaw, but he was always looking at the ball and just aggressively shielding. Jackson's was a much more serious infringement but thankfully caused less damage.

Are they shit or they just don't give a shit? There's certainly an element of the former but a bigger chunk of the latter. Consider players who have since left and are performing much better. Telling everyone they're shit is a nice self fulfilling prophecy though and just adds to the general discontent at all levels.

Their slide down the table is costing them more also which is always nice. Amorim and Postecoglu have lost the plot and arrogantly painted themselves into the corner. The repercussions from the EL final and the season in general should be rather interesting.

Not so long ago that that held a completely different meaning here.

Plus at no point was he going for the ball, or even aware specifically where the ball was. Text book violent conduct. VIOLENT CONDUCT Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made. In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.

He's not the best interview, don't think his Emglish is very good, though he still managed to politically sidestep answering the question about the Jackson red card instead moaning about other decisions. Pretty absurd if you watched the game as Chelsea had the better of the calls especially in the second half. It was as though the ref was trying to even up the red card even though it was an indisputable legitimate red.

It's hard to see how they come at the Premier League next season with the belief that they can qualify for the Champions League again. They've been so far off the pace, have shown no heart outside the of the Europa League and have extremely deep seeded problems throughout the club. They're regressing whilst clubs like us and Aston Villa are moving quickly in the other direction. Man United aren't the drawcard they once were for players so they've subsequently paid extremely high wages to bring players in. At the same time they've failed to get consistent performances from anyone whether they've been more experienced players or players bought on their potential (and paid according to their potential too). They don't have a style or identity in the pitch because their squad is Frankenstein's monster from various manager's tenures. They'll struggle to have anyone that can be sold - noone will pay the excessive wages to unproven players or players past their prime and despite the media's best efforts to promote their young players, the table doesn't lie. A line of managers have failed to fix the intrinsic problems and the owners, despite spending heavily, have managed to all but destroy the relationship with the supporters. Tottenham's problems aren't as deep seeded because they've always been very tight with their wage structure. That said they've run out of cash cows players they can sell to fund other purchases so no European income next season will hurt their rebuild immensely. Having seen them bottle many important games this season I can't see how they will beat Man Utd who have some spammy ability to win stuff.

They're really bottling the run home. I almost feel for them, but then I simply remember that Yates is their captain, and then I don't feel so bad.

The commentary won't stop going on about how great Chelsea have been in the second half, they haven't we were just diabolically bad. Even still they only created two chances and one was a header that Reece James wouldn't finish in a month of Sundays. Anyway, fuck off you book cooking dirty cheating bastards.
