Let's see them both before we decide.
-
We have to do the dance with their clubs on the price though. Pedro has confirmed attitude/behavioural problems on and off the pitch which is the reason they're willing to sell. He doesn't excite me for many reasons. I was hoping the years of signing decent players with issues were over but apparently not.
-
Not an overseas player, but from an overseas league, but yeah I'll agree since he had plenty of PL experience. Buying from PL clubs also has a bit of an incestuous feel to it. Elanga I like mostly because of his pace, but he's also not selfish. Technical ability and positioning can improve with age and training but if you're not fast now you'll never be and speed (particularly on the ball) is so important in wide attacking players. It's why I'd never consider Pedro to be a wide player.

I don't understand why we're apparently focused on only PL players. If you look at our best transfers since the takeover they're Bruno and Botman (France), Isak and Trippier (Spain) and Tonali (Italy). Tino and Hall we paid for their potential but they've turned out to be great buys. Howe has shown that he can coach players into the league, so we should be looking elsewhere as well to make our PSR dollar go further. I don't think we should sign Pedro. Elanga I do, as long as the price isn't excessive. Trafford if he continues his trajectory he could be an exceptional long term signing, similar to Hall and Livramento.

Jose Enrique is in the top 50.
-
Sign him up. Elanga I mean, and Demis Roussos. Dig him up first. Fun fact: I was at the Herodion at the foot of the Acropolis for his performance in 2010. His first in Greece for 37 years according to Google. And by at I mean wandering around outside like a tourist on their first night in Athens.
-
I guess the flip side is that they may consider that Elanga is at the peak of his value based on a season where Forest exceeded expectations by a great deal and based on his age and length of contract. They may fancy that they could turn that fee into a couple of players of promise from a lower cost market for the upcoming season where they'll (like us) have a busier schedule.

Big Willy also counts as a home-grown player for us (I believe) as his combined time with Sheffield and us under the age of 21 qualifies him.
-
As if Spurs are paying wages that were hinted at previously..... unless the media (social and 'professional') have lied to us?!?
-
The good news is if you happen to catch your reflection and throw up on yourself it's likely to be an improvement.
-
I don't disagree, but don't see how you could convince him to come here to play second fiddle. You're also right about Brighton.
-
Why do we care what your BIL think, and why is he comparing Chelsea and Forest wingers? Elanga is express pace, both footed and can play through the middle or out wide. Swedish connection.
-
Does Pedro excite anyone here? We'd be paying a Premier League Premium price for someone who IMO has bafely proven himself to be worth what Brighton paid for him (£30m). He strikes me as a poorer Richarlison, a player capable of the brilliant but streaky and not assured. Elanga is also not a pure goal scorer buy he has express pace and versatility to play wide or centrally. Given we are still constrained on budget the versatility is more valuable. Pedro would only be getting substitute minutes in games where Isak is available. Elanga could earn himself a starting spot. We do need some depth up front but we'd be paying overs with Pedro who seemingly also has temperament issues. Pass.
-
It's allowed, yes. The fact that we have two other National Team Swedish players has to help somewhat with deciding where to go. I don't think he's a £50m player though. More around the £30-40m mark. I suppose it also depends on the wage requirements.
-
Where would that be in this team? As in which position. It's tough not to upset the balance of the team too much, that player has to be an exciting one. I guess that really only leaves RW or a change in formation to accommodate Isak and the incoming player in a FWD/CAM role which would.make it tough to accommodate Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton in midfield.

**** REBREAKING NEWS **** THE RED HOT MITCH SUMMER HAS COMMENCED We've signed Ivan Cordoba, no wait, Antonio Cordero from Spanish GIANTS, Madrid, Malaga. BIG MITCH had this to say: "This is what I call fit for purpose. An abundance of potential. Eddie can look forward to news of him coming to training in 12 months time, before he's onsold to some one else for a small profit. To be honest it's patronising that they're making me comment on this small time signing when they've already tapped me on the shoulder and told everyone that I wasn't cutting it, but I suppose I have to at least keep pretending so they have to keep paying me."
-
Irregardless of what, he's made his bed and now will have to deal with the consequences.
-
Case closed, get it done team.
-
The big transfer news in toon, will it be a Krul summer or will we be Forster sign the other ex academy keeper. More as it breaks.
-
Locking up a long term top tier GK is smart business, but not not something I can get excited over. Both Pope and Dubravka didn't let us down through the season when called on. I do expect us to lock up Trafford after a lengthy pursuit but for him not to join up with us for another year.

Good thing for CT that the above post was not lost in the latest Quarter Centurium Bug strike.
-
Great for the league to have a proper class club in it. The Premier League should provide complimentary cheese slices for all of their supporters as a thank you.
-
The Isak bonus story is a serious data leek.

He'll be a huge miss for them if he does go.
