  1. His brother was the priest at the church next to my primary school. Nobody cared like.
  2. I once seen Sir Bobby in Sacriston village, he got out of a BMW 7 series and went to the cashpoint. (The building used to be a bank) I was off school poorly & on the way to the Drs with my Nanna. She wouldn’t let me go and say hello and said he tell me off for being off school

In December when I was campaigning with Labour I knocked on the door of a desperately poor man, his front door literally had a massive hole in it. He looked malnourished & could barely string a sentence together. You can probably guess who he said he was voting for....
  4. The problem is whilst trans people have little or no effect on his life he’s caused an awful amount of hurt to people & damaged theirs. Meanwhile his career and marriage has suffered. For what exactly?
  5. A lot of party members are fuming because Starmer has gotten rid of a “socialist”. If RLB was such a socialist why did it take her till she was 30 years old to join the party? Career politician.
  6. Met loads of toon players as well, it was mental. Had a couple of pints with Keith Gillespie, Darren Peacock & David Ginola Ended up sharing breakfast with Brian Kilcline. Ive got photos but have no place to upload them & can’t figure it out. Storage space on here man.... @Ant help me
  7. Courtesy of @JawD giving me a hotel room where the players were staying during Stevie Harper’s testimonial - a friend an I, both dressed quite smartly, walked straight into the private section of the hotel where the AC Milan players were eating. We sat down in the middle of them and enjoyed a free bar, a free meal and then got our pictures taken with the players. Luckily my friend speaks fluent Italian, I was fucking mortal. Nobody said anything
  8. Alan Foggon used to get into Daisy Hill club on the outskirts of sacriston during his playing days. ”He’s bad for the drink that lad” they’d say. However he was only ever seen drinking orange squash.
  9. My uncle once seen Wyn Davies in the Turkish baths at Gateshead. He was absolutely black & blue with horrible bruises everywhere. “Ah, it was terrible, terrible” - Uncle. He thought “there’s no chance he’ll be playing against Man City on Saturday”. Obviously he played.

If you head on over to NUFC.COM they have a list of shirts for sale donated by fans. The proceeds go to the foodbank, which I’m sure you’re aware, is desperate for funds after losing match day income. Newcastle West End food bank is the largest in the country & it distributes over 25 tons of food per month to those most in need. The situation was fairly dire before Covid so you can imagine what it’s like now. Some shirts are signed, some are matchworn Anyway they’ve got a bunch of really great shirts up for auction, so if you want something special give it a look!
  11. You can get those really handy knee pads that electricians use instead of shin pads.
  12. My problem is I’m in a bubble or “echo chamber” of far left labour supporters. Now whilst I probably “identify” as far left I have a friend who is a councillor who’s won numerous elections & knows the political system inside out, every nuance. So every now and then he guides me about how unelectable we're becoming. He’s a big Starmer man, naturally. I worked hard for fuck all, every time. It’s a long time. Just look at the graph detailing families visiting foodbanks & how it has risen, constantly. Fuck it. I want a labour government at any costs at the moment. The argument to move further left will be a lot stronger when we’re in government & suddenly children don’t have to rely on foodbanks not to be malnourished.
  13. The far left hate him tbh but I’m happy with my vote. He’s been exceptional in prime minister’s questions. I think he’s a Fabian socialist personally, he’s just clever enough to know how to get there.
  14. A lot of “left wingers” who have been completely sheltered from the anti-Semitism debate are absolutely fuming. Other people are rattling on about labour letting Palestine down. Seemingly okay with the fact that labour have let the British people down for over a decade now. But all I’m hearing is the voices I’ve heard for years, friends & fellow campaigners. The people impressed by this kind of action I’ll likely have never communicated with. When campaigning I knocked on a door in Lanchester, a lady shouted “shalom” & slammed the door shut.
  15. In fairness, that is a great thread.
  16. Twitter is going to be a nightmare over the RLB thing. Really sharp from Starmer. Shows he’s not fucking about.
  17. Shame for Liam Gibson tbh, Fernandez looked decent too.
  18. Norwich get nearly twice their attendance ffs
  19. I can’t get into the mindset of people who don’t take their litter home, it’s disgraceful & remarkably stupid. Never mind taking a shite in a burger box
