I'm sure we CAN spend an extra £100mil this window if we need to, but given we have no squad places free atm, and are well stocked in CM, I think it's highly unlikely that we are going to bring another expensive one in

No. But I read the tweets by every NE football journo, who are all consistent with the claims that we are looking at 2 positions (CF, RW) and have roughly £30mil left to spend. The same journo's that report we've been priced out of Diaby and he doesn't want to come anyway. So fantasy lists of Diaby AND Paqueta are pie in the sky atm

Paqueta isn't happening. Willock, Bruno and Joelinton probably our starting 3 CMs, backed up by a revitalised Shelvey, Sean Longstaff with a new contract, Elliot Anderson breaking through and Matty Longstaff probably get loaned out again. We have £30mil ish to spend and need a striker and a winger. We aren't going to blow the budget on an 8th CM. Nor are we going to drop £30/40mins on Paqueta and play him out of position on the wing or up front like it's championship manager

Cornet is more naturally a winger whereas Dennis plays as a CF. Cornet also had a few season at Lyon under his belt, whilst Dennis played in a farmers league before coming to England. I reckon last season was a bit of a purple patch for him

I just struggle to see how we fit Bruno, Joelinton, Shelvey, Willock, Elliot, Longstaff and Paqueta into the same squad. Particularly when we can't hit a barn door up front atm

I'd ship Murphy out and give Anderson his place in the squad. He's Championship quality on a good day. Unfortunately some fucking knacker gave him a 6 year contract
