    Anyone on here work in the field, or know someone who does? Some worrying signs in the house in recent weeks that the foundations may have moved slightly and I'm keen to get a survey on the house done prior to going through the insurance. Sent 5 emails off to local firms for quotes and haven't had a reply from any of them. Plenty of chartered surveyors around who will point out a crack in the wall and say "you want to get that looked at", but I need an actual engineer to tell me where the issue is and whether it needs to be fixed Cheers
