I did 2 fantastic runs last week, both around San Francisco bay. A 12k and a 8k which i was dead pleased with as i was only away 5 nights.

Everyone eats a ton of bread in France, every meal without fail. Everyone is skinny as fuck. I'm thinking its not 'bread' per se but perhaps processed bread? The low carb thing may still make sense as the bread here only lasts about an hour and after 3 or 4 hours its pretty much inedible so perhaps the way they make it produces less carbs? No idea tbh.

As any marketeer will tell you, growing a business income means getting either existing customers to spend more and / or new customers. In the case of Man U both of those have been driving their commercial income with greater income from corporate match day OOT mugs and new income opportunities from US and Far East markets. Their CL presence is a clear driver of this. I agree that the missing money is scandalous I just don't think it would be enough to transform our prospect. It would push us away from teams like Everton and Villa but the huge incomes at the top of the money league are generated on the back of the fact that 5 or 6 clubs have truly global fan bases.

I think NUFC commercial income peaked at £34m, I did look at it and post up some charts I made on here a couple of years ago. Based on the outsourcing of catering etc, I think it was about £15m down on the highest it had ever been. Given the economy is smaller today than it was in 2007 there is no reason to expect it to be higher today really so Ashley's management has lost the club about that.

I had a mad one on Saturday, went for lunch in Sausalito which we took the ferry to. Walked out of the hotel looking for a taxi to get to the ferry terminal and was told there was no way because of the demo. To get to the ferry we had to join a pro-life march and walk with it for a mile. just caught the ferry and had a lush trip across San Francisco bay, past Alcatraz great views of the bridges etc. Had a reservation at some classy restaurant with great views of the bay and the SF skyline. Had amazing tuna and scallops, loads of Rombauer white wine and got sozzled. Ferry ride back was at dusk so the views/ photos etc were amazing. If you go to SF you have to go to Sausalito, its really nice. No anti-abortionists on the way home thankfully.
