  1. Ranger has been alright, should have done a lot better twice. Not sure Colo is working that well, it's not exactly been a weakness though.
  2. Shola has a knee problem according to Sky.
  3. no, do tell. sounds dodgy. nah, it's legit according to a trainer I trust who's been using it. I won't use it as would interfere with other stuff I do, but basically he gets his meals between 10am and 10pm? or maybe it's 12pm and 8pm and then organises his weight training around that. anyway it's way less severe than I expected when I first read about it. can put you in touch with him if you fancy, gemmill. Aye I think there's different ways of doing it. I've had a blast where you basically eat your dinner one day then don't eat again til dinner time the next night. You still go to the gym and go about your normal business, you just don't eat. There's an ebook that can be found in all the usual places called Eat Stop Eat by Brad Pilon. Not saying these sort of things arent good for you or this particular book is wrong but when you read them, try to work out if the arguments are based on ideas and theories or outcomes of controlled studies. If the books have made at least some effort to draw upon evidence and look at scientific research (and they dont do you any harm) then i guess they are worth giving a go. However, in my experience, there is very little evidence to back these things up, just theories. The best thing you can do is put up a link to the references and research these books are based on and me and Renton will tell you whether its credible or not A colleague used to talk about fasting quite a bit, she was stick thin and quite possibly clinically insane.
  4. Is it the first time he has played there for us? He played there for Deportivo iirc. Certainly a risk but one i'd want to look at as i would not want either Guthrie or Barton in a defensive midfield role. So given the options, its worth looking at. Well done the poster who called this btw, whoever it was.
  5. I read an article a while back on modern education that suggested that due to resources like Wikipedia and smartphones, that all human knowledge is theoretically available to everyone. Therefore, education should no longer attempt to build knowledge of facts and memorised information but to build the analytical capabilities required to process it. Not sure I completely agree but interesting way of looking at it.
  6. You should ask Nolberto Solano for his perspective on this question, it was quite enlightening.

  13. seriously. one ok debut album. shit sophomore. and the whole of the UK press jizzes when a rumour surfaces they're going to return. shows how content this country is mediocrity. Fools Gold was the Psycho Killer of the 90s. That one ok album was an original indie / dance crossover that turned Nirvana fans into ravers. Holds great cultural significance in this country, ask anyone my age I agree about the point about mediocrity as that's all you could expect from them today if they did reform.
  14. Pissi No idea, sounds like a bell.
  15. Think that's a more recent photo.
  16. It is possible they are losing their bottle seeing how badly the economy is doing. Ultimately, its bond market investor confidence that drives the price of servicing our deficit, so as long as the right political noises were made, then hopefully they stay calm and we don't cut public services as badly as predicted. The political turmoil in Portugal meant the opposition blocked spending cuts, which drove 6 month bond yields up from 4% to 8% in the last month. That strategy does rely on us getting back to economic growth.
  17. Where abouts in France are you again? The capital.

    Obama

For that moronic statement to tail a pure polemical rant is beyond irony. What does he mean by empirical here, that there are observable examples? Observations of what? His own party voting against him is one empirical observation relevant to this view and neither you nor Greenwald have brought a single one. Those last examples all occur after Congress voted against him 4 months after his inauguration. What the article boils down to is that technically, with a lot of will and a few risk, they could try KSA on US soil. Good reason to vote for the tea party that. What's the reason to vote for Obama? Still never got that link to explain what that vote was that changed Obama from cheerleader for rule of law (everyone gets their day in court), to mimicking Bush exactly to give trials to some, military commissions to others and no oversight whatsoever for many. http://www.taylormarsh.com/2009/05/20/obam...eated-on-gitmo/ http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31428560/ns/po...s-capitol_hill/ http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/20..._to_close_gitmo http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/911-masterm...ory?id=13291750 http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/jan/2...o-congress-veto http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/dec/0...P=ILCNETTXT3487 http://www.andyworthington.co.uk/2009/05/2...sm-may-21-2009/
  20. Seems like a prick to be honest, par for the course though. Apparently I have a screw loose because I dismiss clueless people's comments. I'm a patronising prick, always will be when it comes to people who don't know what they're talking about. I can't be that clueless if I win football poster of the year on the nets best toon site? It will always be the major flaw in my personality being patronising, sue me. It seems the lad is a very poor mans Fop although very early to judge. People like him and many others didn't exist within the club 15 years ago. They'd be watching Northampton Rugby Club, or VHS recordings of the Open University on a Saturday. Anyway, we don't want board wars. What does Kaizero look like? I have a picture of John Arne Riise in my mind but fat even more ginger, with a chin 3 inches closer to his forhead than him even, from your description. Honest to god, like Bubbles off Trailer Park Boys.
  21. Hmmm. Are the two KK departures comparable? I alawys thought that KK walked out the first time because he couldn't hack the flotation and the City's demands rather than personal issues with the Board. That's just mny impression though. Whereas he was effectively forced out by Ashley/Llambias/Wise, that much is clear from the tribunal, so it seems more based on personal issues. As a side issue, I assume the spending under the old regime was not only debt but also the flotation proceeds? Would be interesting to see how much money we burned through chasing success in the 90s. In exactly the way i describe them, yes. The two financial situations aren't the same, the circumstances arent the same but KK's inability to align to their financial vision for the club is what led to him leaving in both instances.
  22. In his defence, his wife is Spanish so she will use papa. The crying at music came from an interview from last year too. However, he is a fanny without doubt.
