If the books have made at least some effort to draw upon evidence and look at scientific research (and they dont do you any harm) then i guess they are worth giving a go. However, in my experience, there is very little evidence to back these things up, just theories. I read an article a while back on modern education that suggested that due to resources like Wikipedia and smartphones, that all human knowledge is theoretically available to everyone. Therefore, education should no longer attempt to build knowledge of facts and memorised information but to build the analytical capabilities required to process it. Not sure I completely agree but interesting way of looking at it.

seriously. one ok debut album. shit sophomore. and the whole of the UK press jizzes when a rumour surfaces they're going to return. shows how content this country is mediocrity. Fools Gold was the Psycho Killer of the 90s. That one ok album was an original indie / dance crossover that turned Nirvana fans into ravers. Holds great cultural significance in this country, ask anyone my age I agree about the point about mediocrity as that's all you could expect from them today if they did reform.
