What was in The Sun? Its not free advertising imo, its a way of transferring finance across the business. The accounts will show by how much if it is but it makes sense as it reduces sportsdirect's taxes on the one hand and helps both sides out. Shame its his shit tacky brand that we have to put up with.

Bit too mainstream for me nowadays, preferred them when they were underground.

Yeah, sure. Oil is a means to an end though. -
Looks more like an amateur dramatics version of the flying birds in Avatar to me.

Really it is a cop out to say I cannot predict the long-term future? The cop out is to say 'it's all about oil'; 'Saddam was completely impotent and posed no threat to the world' etc. 'Let's just leave it, it'll sort itself out' 'nothing to see here' 'Saddam doesn't seem like such a bad guy, I'm sure he'll take care of all this' thing is, It IS all about the oil. Lets say for the sake of argument that there was no oil in Iraq or at the very least not enough to matter. do you think that the west (in particular the US who's VP was a former board member of one of the biggest US based oil companies) would have been ready to commit 100000's of troops to take down an effectively toothless (in military capability) dictator? after the first gulf war Saddam's military was obliterated (and was a shell of its former self)there was essentially no Air force anymore, none of the SAM sites that existed in the first conflict were around. There was little or no resistance when the tanks finally did roll in the spring of 2003. No one has said he didn't seem like a bad guy, he was a maniac (who used to be in the employ of the US), but he was a bit like an angry old man shaking his fist at the world after the first gulf conflict. I think saying its about 'oil' underplays what its all about. Its much more sinister than that iyam. -
Any woman who likes that much purple clearly loves a bell-end. Good on you Dave.

It's journalism like this that pisses me off. The scientific consensus is overwhelming yet the Telegraph still manage to give serious inches to one old man's ramblings. I dare say they'd still be printing 'Earth is flat' stories if there wasn't photogaphic evidence. Bit of an odd response to an article where the journalist says fuck all but lets a fairly esteemed scientist do all the talking. In fact the only thing the journalist says is "It’s so utterly damning that I’m going to run it in full without further comment." It's still journalism. He's not written anything, but he's taken one source, no doubt not checked the veracity of that source. The man could be a crackpot, he could be suffering delusions, he could be taking back handers to help in his self-imposed retirement. By calling it utterly damning makes it worse. Emeritus Professor of Physics, University of California, Santa Barbara. You're right to point it out, i'd want to see his commercial disclosures before taking it any more seriously but to be fair, it does seem his complaint was about a stifled debate, not the conclusions of alternative analyses.

If you dont think there is an agenda associated with global warming then why is Goldman Sachs long on all its investments associated with carbon emission reductions?

Oi Oi Captain serious. If you take that perspective then even basic moral statements like 'thou shalt not kill' can be construed as stupid, if it means sacrificing the lives of thousands by not acting to kill someone.

Grabbed my right foot with my left hand and then tried to skip the left leg through the gap. Faceplanted.

Just burst out laughing whilst on a teleconference and not on mute then immediately muted it. Cue, 'you ok Adam?' still muted 'I thnk he just died of boredom'.

Re-enacting the scene out of Zoolander with a ex-punk turned breakdancer from North Shields.

If we are planning to buy Ben Arfa anyway, despite the injury, then i guess this makes sense.

The Dome? It's in an old bank I think. Really nice inside and has a grill thing where you can get food. HF, if you do fancy dusit, I would make a reservation cos it's canny popular. Thats the one. Lovely inside, i had Lindisfarne mussels to start which were so-so. Is there a place called Brown's? The last time i was going up there, the old harbour master from Blyth was round our gaff (having a shnifter of brandy) and he recommended a place. Think it was called that but the memories are a bit hazy for one reason or another. Browns is a chain of restaurants of which one is on George St. I know the chain, thought it might have just had the same name. Good chain though nonetheless.

He refused to see De Jong or any representative of Man City in hospital. I know exactly how he feels too, when i did my knee (tore all the ligaments in my knee off the bone) i wanted to kill the cunt that did it for months.

It wasnt 'dignity' it was 'integrity' but the same arguments can be applied. Their quality and history is undeniable but to claim they have more class and integrity than anyone is ridiculous.
