  1. Gwen Stefani He'll force himself not to be offended by that as he looks down on artisitc elitism.
  2. Aye saw that earlier. My first bullfight, this massive beast came out 3rd or 4th and was literally bucking in an insane manner before being released, charged at a bullfighter who jumped behind the protective wall, bull continued at full pace, hits the wall with its head straight on, the momentum and weight meant whilst the head stopped, the body kept going, snapping the bull's neck and killing it instantaneously. Its pretty gory stuff, i've not been back since then as i dont really agree with it. It was quite an upsetting few days as the family cat hung himself climbing through the garage window. Noble way for the animal to die (who would be killed anyway)? Not so sure myself. Funny old game.
  3. Deal done. On Bafra, maybes we need to go back with just a bit more money and it should be alright. Well if Werder have pulled out and Milan have gone for Boateng (via Genoa) then maybe we are just holding our nerve? Wishful thinking maybe but it fits the club's new MO. Feel like its all on a knife-edge.

  5. Am a bit arrogant and contrary but i usually back up what i'm saying. I used to be funny sometimes, now just an irrelevant Dad.
  6. Guitar-playing smelly soap-dodger who spends all day online generally being chill. Sound familiar?
  7. This all has to get sorted soon anyway, it seems Milan have got their new midfielder, has there been any news on Wesley to Bremen?
  8. A legally binding agreement was not established, between OM and ourselves. This crux point seems to be sadly overlooked [by many, with a 'black & white' tinted viewpoint] when looking for a stick to bash OM/Dassier with. It's up to the club to compromise, to comply to their terms: to find some common ground, rather than stick to bids deemed as being 'too low'. That's what ambitious clubs resort to when securing priority targets, players which are central to the manager's building plans. Yeah Ben Arfa went on strike because our bid wasnt good enough. If a legally binding agreement had been made then of course he would be here already. Am not sure what you add by pointing that out. It seems i can add something to understanding the situation by repeating that Ben Arfa went on strike because Dassier back-tracked on an agreement to let the player go if certain conditions were met. These conditions were met and then Dassier caight wind of 4m for Niang from Fenerbache and pulled out of the deal. Am not the one with a tinted viewpoint here, however i think the strategy of us deferring payment until we see how he fares is questionable. As many have pointed out, its false economy.
  9. Wesley set to sign for Bremen today according to Brazilian press.
  10. German press now claiming that Werder talk is 'french speculation'.
  11. We met their their conditions for a deal over a week ago. The fact that Dassier then turned round and said no to the deal was quite annoying for Ben Arfa who then went on strike because of this. I'm always astounded how much people can ignore reality to justify their own pre-existing views.
  12. Arsenal? Even more chance of him being a 'bouche-trou' there.
  13. Having a week in Blyth in September. I've got sensitive skin so i didnt want to go in high season.
  14. My reasoning's basically this: Rooney was fantastic last season and it'll be hard for him to repeat that. And, because they rely so heavily on him now they don't have C. Ronaldo they'll struggle to get the goals they need. Also, I wouldn't read too much into the Community Shield. I know they only lost by a point last season but I felt Chelsea were almost complacent at times and should've won by more. They'll be there or thereabouts though, as they always are. Rooney is a funny one isnt it. That ankle injury seems to have completely stopped him, no signs last night he was getting any better either. To be fair that Hernandez didnt look all that when he replaced him either but its far too early to judge him. I think with Scholes, Nani, Valencia, Berbatov, Rooney and Hernandez, they've got a good chance this season. You're right about Chelsea's complaceny last season of course. Who have you got your money on? I backed Chelsea at this time last season, not so sure this year.
  15. No the CL is a long way off for them if Rooney doesnt regain his form but they proved last week they can match Chelsea. Unless Ancelotti was just trying to lull them into a false sense of security.
  16. I honestly believe that Man U have started this season in top form and after seeing them twice, think they will be a lot stronger this season than anticipated. I thought we were great for 30 minutes, was genuinely delighted with the way we started. If i thought that it was just because Man U were average, then i'd be feeling a lot more down about things today. Man U were good and we competed with them until the mistakes in the last 15 of the first half. After that it was damage-limitation (with defenders launching aimless balls out of defence under pressure) and even with 10 men behind the ball, they had the quality to pick us off.
  17. Carroll chasing his own flick-ons was a bit sobering.
  18. 67% possession and they gave the ball away cheaply. You're all off your tits man.
  19. I honestly didn't think Man Utd played particularly well. And I think you're being a hypocrite tbh because the only way you could give our lot any credit is by judging it against what you could have expected from us / hoped for. I.e. 'by our standards'. You can be objective about it and say they passed accurately, created plenty of chances, clinically took some chances, pressed the ball, gave us little space to move in, tackled well and retained possession well when we harried them to the best of our ability. Am struggling to see which part of their game was poor, apart from finishing. They looked to be in total control of the outcome of the match.
  20. You're talking drivel the pair of you. If you want to qualify 'average' with 'by their standards' then fine but it doesnt add anything objectively to understanding the absolute quality of their peformance. Shite is just shake your head time.
  21. No credit to us then? I saw them play much worse than that many times last season. The could have won 6 - 0 and they were average?
  22. He was up against Nani ffs.
