I do know that everyone complements me on the clarity of my English compared to all of my British colleagues. The worst people for my mostly French, German and Spanish colleagues are from the south of England. They complain of mumbling, lack of clarity in pronunciation and merging lots of words into incomprehensible blurs. The two people who were complained about the most were from Kent and Reading. I couldn't comment on scousers as I have never met one at a senior corporate level.

Heard we had an offer knocked back. Typical, if true.

Sorry to disappoint you but i can assure you Stevie knows what side his bread is buttered on, well he ought to by now ;-) Exactly, I think if you're comfortable with your sexuality you can say someone of the same sex is good lookin. I think it's not acceptable in northern culture because there's so many closet huckles who would be ostracised from society if they came out. No wonder Meenzer fucked off down South. Is that why you keep spending time down there? Nah, you're right Stevie and I'm comfortable that you're comfortable too.

Not bad mate, am not sure i like the formatting but thats quite a personal thing. A few suggestions for improvement. I think you need a sumnmary position on the declaration of independence and geo-political influences on western development over the period. Without this, as i think you can tell, you risk not just alienating a large proportion of your potential readership. At best they will be confused on this issue. Might i also suggest a top 10 albums of all time list by country? Maybe you could invent a scoring system that ranks and compares each country's musical output since lets say 1960. I think you can guess which way the result should go. Finally, i'd love to see a Best of British section along the lines of '100 reasons i'm glad i was born here', you can add in a few funny ones, to keep it light-hearted. Best of luck mate, as you can tell Toontastic is a tough crowd, if your politics arent in line with ours then you wont be getting mad hits.

Geordie Boot Girl is going to be well jealous of mine and stevie's 'relationship'.

Stevie mate, there isnt a sentence in the English language that allows one bloke to inform another that he thinks he is good looking without sounding bent. Appreciate the sentiment though.

If you convert mp3 to wav, isnt that just an mp3? Since the encoding will have stripped out the high and low frequencies in the first place, putting it back into .wav from mp3 wont improve the sound? Or a meringue? You need to use an appropriate encoding method to convert CDs to digital wavs. If you allow it to turn into an mp3, the encoding means permanent loss of audio quality. -

No, it's between a 66% and a 73% chance of staying up - unless you've written that the wrong way round. Really? Makes me feel a lot better (Parky is right, i worry about stats too much). However, if the odds of going down are 11/4, then the probability = odds / (1 + odds) where the odds are expressed as a decimal. Which is 2.75/3.75. Also, if we are 2/1 to go down, doesnt that make it > evens, which is a probability of 50%?

On the topic of relegation, i was checking out the odds yesterday and we are something like between 2/1 and 11/4 odds to go down (or 3 to 3.75) In probability terms, thats 66% to 73% chance of being relegated. Expressed like that makes it seem virtually a foregone conclusion.
