  1. We've been overpaying for a decade nowt to do with Ashley. It is a bigger problem than just the failings of one particular regime. Oh I agree I'm just saying that the new regime has hardly addressed the problem. We've sold players in January presumably to fund the wage bill but as it turned out they were players we couldn't spare. They've brought in players like Barton, Cacapa, Nolan, Xisco, and R. Taylor presumably on high wages, players who like their predecessors aren't good enough. I think they were gambling on getting through to the summer in the premiership when they could start making serious in-roads in the wage bill by kissing off the likes of Owen and Viduka. Even if we'd stayed up I was expecting some surgery on the squad. Now it will presumably involve full scale amputation. Yes, yes yes... But there seems to be no easy ans to the greater problem ie How to get/attract good upcoming players and keep them without paying mad money. The answer is you pay them mad money. Then you have no room for maneuver when things go awry (inj/form etc) and get relegated. Small time thinking. Weren't you advocating a £150M spend as the only answer at the start of the season? I think that was in relation to getting to the top of the league. Getting that shower of shit to the top would take at least 150m (it was 100m tbf) and remains (depsite the piss taking) one of Parky's more prescient moments.
  2. I dont get it, your cock is smaller than her nose?
  3. Sorry, that last sentence should read 'a few chances the dead.'.
  4. AFTER sinking the Newcastle and the fallout in the Championship league, everything is going izgledniji Mark Viduka. Australians as the destination referred to Croatia. The Australian has not specified if there are any concrete offers from the 33-year attacker Newcastlea, but it appears that this outcome is the end of his career the former Australian team members, rather hopefully options. The least likely option is to go to a league, set local media. Namely, the Australian says that is quite certain that Viduka will leave the ranks now drugoligaša Newcastlea and wants to finish career in one of the clubs who play at the highest level. Given the problems with injuries that have met last season, it seems to be difficult to find employment in one of the clubs who play in the Champions League. Therefore, remains his involvement in one of the clubs who are fighting for wintering in Europe. As for Croatia, well, this is logically imposes Dinamo. Viduka has been with the Zagreb club while he also called Croatia, played Champions League, and it is clear that the Mamic desire to contest in the season 2009./2010. Mutual interest that could definitely be. Is not turned off, or leave in time for recall, Vidukini from Pridrage near Zadar. Given that the specified place in the regions of King novigradskih fishermen Rene Sinovčić, may play and Zadar on the map lokalpatriotizma, although it is hopefully a bit of options. Otherwise, Viduka is not glorious increased with the Zagreb audience. More importantly, his supporters are zamjerili as the game that was called, then in the Champions League matches, was rather imprecise. This culminated in a duel with the Zagreb Ajaxom (0:0) when he was off Salvo whistle because of the match missed a few chances the dea
  5. It'll do, he's a Leicester City fan, not royalty. You may have to do a few of these.
  6. Were genius. Very funny, lots of improv, great stage act. Official Secret's Act were a canny support too.
  7. Impossibly Daft seems a good lad (or lass) to me, he never abuses us, and seems quite intelligent. If this lad is representative of posters from club's in the championship, should be some decent banter next season.
  8. Its all about the green stuff, if you've got it, they'll sense it and upgrade you anyway. Or they'll have heard of Blyth when they check your passports and your room will have the bulk of your hotels air conditioning running through it.
  9. Am not that up on labour law but a company can change the contract of its employees if it suffers a significant changes in its circumstances. Otherwise how would companies be allowed to make redundancies? Employment law accounts for these things i believe. Done quite a bit of employment law myself, cant see them being able to enforce a wage reduction on someone unless the individual agrees to this. What some companies do to reduce the wage bill are things such as a 4 day week as long as the T.U agrees to this, not really relevant to NUFC. With reference to the redundancies there are two main circumstances they can be enforced; business closeure and a diminished requirement for work of a particular kind, once again not really relevant to NUFC. There's a diminished requirement for premiership footballers Is there not a third criteria, which has been going on all around us for the last 6 months? Major companies are not closing, their revenues are being reduced and since labour is a major cost, they reduce the wage bill through redundancies. We just laid off 800 last year, with head count reductions coming from across the company. Our business model hasnt really changed, we still do all the same type of work, just with less people. You'd obviously ask them nicely first but am sure there must be a way of adjusting a contract if that contract threatened the ongoing survival of the company?
  10. I bet Ashley is delighted with the 8m profit he made in january now.

Otherwise how would companies be allowed to make redundancies? Employment law accounts for these things i believe. Fair enough if thats the case. Just cannot see the modern day footballer voluntarily doing it... Not sure it is entirely, just drawing upon what i know from redundancies in my own industry.

  13. On that basis none of us on here should be allowed to comment on any footballer at all. In this instance no ones commenting on his footballing skills, more his worth as a human being.
  14. How can he 'step down' when he was only appointed for 8 games you boring-voiced retarded brummie fuckwit?
  15. I wasnt going to make an exhaustive list, its just people you hear people often relating an ex-players position on the pitch to their aptitude to being a manager, when clearly the two are only at best, tenuously related, if at all.
  16. Football fans as a demographic are thick as fuck, have said it before and will say it again. I include myself in that obviously.
  17. Got to give Shearer some time, he is the right choice for the club, you cant make this decision on the basis of some HR aptitude test, the role of football club manager has too many dimensions to find exactly the right fit. Shearer is close enough and that'll do for me. Its funny people's attitude, on the way to the boro match with my dad in the car he turns and goes 'name me one striker that has been a top manager'. I just laughed and said 'Cloughie for one'.
  18. I forgot to mention it there but I honestly don't think Ashley will appoint him again. I mean, he just can't be that fucking thick. It'll be either Shearer or Dowie IMO and I don't see anyone else that would take the job on Never underestimate an idiot. Yep, a few people made that mistake with you.
  19. Ask Leicester Simple answer - only if you make it bad. Same as League One, even (though there you get teams that divide into playing teams and clogging teams more neatly). A large part of what players in the Championship are missing is that they're either more one-dimensional or that they're lacking consistency; a large number of sides are prepared for this and are well organised so that you wouldn't notice and the quality of football is generally good. The ones that aren't are directionless shiteheaps like Charlton this season and us the one before. As long as you don't act like Leeds, and the big if of Ashley not making more huge fuckups, it would be a fun season. Just expect to see lots of generic bowl stadiums, they seem to still be in fashion for some reason. Unfashionable stadia is a real no-no. Stadium fashion anyway, "This season am sitting in the Primark stand".
  20. I'd like us to try and nick joe mattock from leicester, young, pretty well rated and english You put a comma after pretty then had to edit, didnt you?
  21. Give. Him. Time. He's the right man, who know's what makes a great manager, its an art not a science and you need character to lead people as well as humility. I think Shearer can make a great career for himself as a manager but he needs to spend some time learning. This season has been about experienced, long-lasting managers being successful, apart from Zola.
