  1. Farage was asked about racism again today in a press conference and this was his reaction
  2. It wasnt that clear to be fair. I just mean that if the US states were countries (like the states of Europe) then there is no way in conjunction or individually they would be the most powerful economic force on the planet. The US states are stronger together, the power of their consumer numbers giving huge capital investment capability to domestic US companies. The same is applying to China. The point being that the welfare of people in Europe depends on the EU economy as we (e.g. the UK) export the most shit to the EU. Like all other EU states, we sell to other EU states. Just like big US corporations growing strong by selling to US consumers. If we want to remain strong we need to compete with China, Russia, emerging markets and the US. This will only be possible as part of Europe. UKIP, the SNP and the decentralising forces of Europe dont want the political implications of economic integration. I can understand that but its a trade off we all need to accept.
  3. There are loads of benefits of being in Europe for everyone. Primarily the main one being that if Texas was a country, there is no way it would be the most powerful nation on earth. If it was, they'd have fuck all chance of stopping the Chinese replacing them.
  4. Not sure that the Tory leadership have been saying recently, i dont really pay that much attention to the detail. However, a cursory examination of the British press on a daily basis has given me the impression that UKIP's leaders keep come out with racist, homophobic shite. So i googled 'ukip racist' and was offered 'quotes' 'tweets' 'posters' 'policies'. I chose quotes and read enough to confirm that the impression picked up by my eyes was in fact true. I'd also agree with you that discussing immigration is an important thing for us to do. I would exclude any contribution from UKIP on the basis that they are thicker than Stephen Taylor.
  5. Good album this, really dirty techno.
  6. Their members? There is isnt a week goes by without reading about one of them saying something profoundly wrong.
  7. And UKIP wins historic election in the UK, first time in modern history that neither Labour or Conservatives have won. Double ouch. 28% of the UK vote went to racist fuckwits, only 25% of France's vote went the same way. You could go for triple and quadruple ouch in Denmark and Austria too.

  9. The sun has come out in Sitges after 2 days of rain, it's been as hot and sticky as Cath's gusset.
  10. Dont bring my family into it. What have you been doing? Picking winnets out your arse then smelling your fingers?
  11. They need to investigate your missing soap dish you utter bamp.
  12. HR Giger died, the artist who did all the design work for Alien. More famous in our household for the pull-out poster in the Dead Kennedy's 1985 album Frankenchrist. NSFW Anyway, in honour of HR Giger
  13. Used to happen to me regularly when i used to go to Klute in Durham on a friday night.
  14. Aye, not great watching for the England fan. To be fair, the Italian was obsessed with Barry, you could tell by the way he pronounced his name that Barry was a thing for him, a role in an Italian squad, not an Englishman with not/bad average talent and zero pace. To your point though, you need belief to perform well and to raise your game. Not saying we should 'believe' but you've got to go into the games on the front foot, confident you can win. Look at Italy in Euro 2012, the game against England saw them look full of confidence (obviously Pirlo was class) and England looked more and more knackered as the game went on. They weren't any more knackered than the Italians, the Italians believed (and they had a bit of extra class). The tempo and energy from England faded because of lack of belief. The Italians carry that through and then play a huge game against Germany in the semis. They then get found out against Spain as Spain have an aura and Italy didnt believe. Got to strike a balance of course and the media doesnt help by being idiotic.
  15. Paul Merson was saying yesterday Barkley in the hole and Rooney in midfield as he reckons Barkley is better than Rooney in that position. That's all very well but ignores the fact that we will come up against teams who will pass it better than us and hit us on the break. The problem with those midfield options is there no one who naturally sits deeper who can be relied upon defensively. Gerrard is playing a deep role for Liverpool but there defensive frailty starts with his lack of pace and propensity to end up on his arse. Lallana, Henderson, Wilshere, Sterling and Barkley should all be given the chance but for them to be effective we need some midfield solidity. That's also one of the worst back lines we have taken to a major tournament in a long time.
  16. Milner has turned in some cracking performances for City. Pellegrini doesnt put him in the side because of some quota system.
  17. How much? Not thinking of buying it myself obviously.
