If you took out the last 2 generations from your family, you'd be a sister fucking criminal. That's solid genetics.

During which 6 of the best players who put us on the previously good run have been missing. Saying its not rocket science is an offense to the hard working community of rocket scientists.- 10610 replies

“Our team is dilapidated, but there’s no reason why we can’t get a result against Spurs. That would be brilliant if we could get a win “If we try to finish above Manchester United, that would be a hell of an achievement for this club regardless of anything else. Nah, you've filled in the gaps. If he says we have a stong side without Remy, Colo, Tiote and Debuchy then he looks stupid.

I made a curry with Azuki or Adzuki beans on sunday. Onions, garlic, ginger whizzed in the machine, fried then added spices then added the beans. Very nice, apparently they are used in desserts in Japan but went well with spices. I think i will use as a side dish next time i do a proper curry.

Anyone seen Charlie Countryman? He was apparently necking acid the whole time in that, freaked out one of the hobbits from Harry Potter or something. Got it downloaded to watch at some point. -
I think what he said (and forgive me for being controversial here) is that we'll be stronger once we get back 4 of our best players. The stupid cunt.

I guess because life looks so much shitter through the prism of monday morning rush hour.

"The feds going to prop up interest rates with free money, the cunts have got to put their cash somewhere, i'm getting bollocks deep into US equities" Some fund manager circa Q1 2013. Boom! Made millions. Remunerated for their skill level?

Leaving home, moving to London and not having enough money to live off was the best start to professional life imaginable for me. I've got very little sympathy for the current generation saying 'we cant afford to buy a house so i wont move out of home'. Renting in London was expensive 15 years ago, buying was impossible for anyone on 20k a year. On the other hand, why not stay in the family and live together all the time? Its narrowed horizons and if you do you cant complain if opportunities disappear but there is a lot to be said for staying at home. Personally a lot more ambitious than that and my parents would have driven me potty.

Line 14 in Paris works very well. No drivers at all, does get affected by the general and train strikes but always runs a service. Reade's point is well taken and in a way, Fish's point about the cost of the strikes emphasises that. If the cost of a strike to the economy is so high then that demonstrates the value of the service to society and justifies the remuneration. I don't think the 'a monkey could do the job' argument holds water, the tube drivers have gained power over an important economic resource and manipulate it to their own end. Just like bankers and credit really.

Filth. Utterly depraved. Its been a long time since i read the book (16 years i guess) so i dont remember much about that but have the impression the film skirted over a lot of the worst bits. McAvoy is quality in it. Could have been better but still a good watch (if you're not offended easily). -

Piacere is a good word to know in Italian. Whenever i meet a new Italian female colleague i put on my best Davide Santon, say that and smile. Works every time. Pee - a - chair - a.

A few 'Newcastle in turmoil' lines going round in the press. Funnily enough, my reaction is the exact opposite to that: sanity at last.

Loved watching Hazard tonight, his close control and touch is incredible but Matic played a blinder. He was all over Toure.

Masterclass from Mourinho that.

The Sean Penn film called This Must Be The Place. Not going to recommend it as its an odd film with some pretty disconnected themes / ideas that dont really seem to go anywhere. However, there is 5 minutes which kind of make the whole thing worth it. -
