Was he tasked with keeping Tyler Adams quiet on Saturday?
-
I think it’s more than that, I’ve heard it mentioned from time to time by punters at games and in match threads on here …

Tin hat time, is the golden boy losing a bit of shine? Looks to me that if you put him under a bit of pressure he can go missing a bit. I know this is sacrilege but I think we’ve over estimated his current abilities. He’s obviously hugely skilled, am not questioning that. I think it’s fair to say though that he’s still in his “bedding in” period in the premier league. Better last night v better opposition than he was on Saturday but still. He disappeared completely at Brighton. He may well develop the necessary “bite” to properly dominate his opposite number in games as he has youth on his side but for me it’s not quite there at the moment @The Fish please provide stats to show my thoughts are either bollocks or a genius insight or maybe I have a point of sorts 🤷🏻♂️

You’re not wrong squire but it’s on the pricey side… https://www.uksoccershop.com/p-272752/2022-2023-boca-juniors-home-shirt.html?currency=GBP&ovId=2645&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5NSdBhDfARIsALzs2ECmu2adSL08Tk0xKlKCeo25ykvZIEhfAq4ei7ATnJwdH58eVn1egz0aAiuhEALw_wcB

When the Emirates first opened (it might have happened at Highbury too) that Ty used to sit in the front row near the away fans trying to err “engage” with us for the entire 90 mins whilst simultaneously trying to listen to the match commentary through a ludicrous set of bright red headphones. Good to see he’s still a blatant fuckin idiot

It stuck out like a sore thumb at Brighton, I thought we’d gone to three at the back but it was nominally a back four, Burn properly pushed up though which was initially a decent tactic because it kept Brightons r/h side occupied but they soon started attacking the space behind him . ASM huffed and puffed in front of him but didn’t really get any change out of Solly March .

So we’re nine points behind these and they’ve got a game in hand on us. I don’t think it’s in any way pessimistic to suggest that getting anything from this game is unlikely. I listened to their game on Saturday and they were pretty dominant till they made a couple of substitutions, that seemed to change things according to Tony Pulis who was summarising. By that time they were three nil up though. On the face of it they’re miles ahead of us but I think we need to do to them what we did to Liverpool at Anfield; press them all over the park till their fuckin pips squeak and we’ll see how they like that

You were in the Trent House with CT? 😳 I think I spied the Tory and Wykiki’s bird in the 3 bulls…you can see a tiny part of his head by the window and that’s whatsername with her back to camera

Sutton at least has some logical football thoughts, Savage is a mindnumbingly stupid wanker. He’s Terry Fuckwitt made real. These city fans were saying that Haaland has completely changed the way they play and their reliance on him isn’t a great thing, Foden is 2nd top scorer with 7 and he’s benched. Savage just kept on squealing “BUT HES SCORED 121 GOALS IN 6 GAMES!!!” or whatever the fuck it is Sutton is just a fuckin rude bastard to the callers, I quite like that tbh
-
I had the utter misfortune to catch 606 with Savage and Sutton on Saturday evening and three Man City fans called in to say this…. main complaints are the inexplicable benching of Foden & the focus being almost entirely on Haaland has reduced chances created apparently. Maybe playing Alvarez once he’s sobered up would help?

it looks like a missed opportunity tbh

Macallister nowhere to be seen for Brighton yesterday….he’s from Irish stock though, so he’s likely doing a tour of the old country sponsored by Bushmills

Dry January with most off tomorrow because todays bank holiday falls on a Sunday??? Fuck that!!
-
yeah you’re right. I just don’t think we’ll get another centre forward in…unless Wood is loaned out somewhere? 🤔
-
Yes young man, what is it you don’t understand? Am suggesting one of these modern day no.10s/ part time inverted wingers a central midfielder and a full back, possibly 2 if we get this kid from West Ham..

It’s called realism my dear old thing, and if there’s one group of middle aged over excited men children that need it then it’s us
