The reason Burnley got relegated is because of them being the second lowest spenders this season. Only a Stoke spent less and for that reason they had a brilliant season, although a decade in the top division gave them a distinct advantage over newbies like Burnley. Bruce spent 40million at Hull and got them relegated hopefully that will put paid to any thoughts of him comimg here....

What was the name of that monumental cunt of a ref who did the pitch inspection?.... Teesside born and bred, looked like a bouncer at the sort of strip joint where they pass a pint pot around and all the lasses have casaerian scars, wrote a hugely self regarding book??...

Good read from a journal err, "journo"... http://www.thejournal.co.uk/opinion/am-giving-up-newcastle-united-9299068?fb_ref=Default#ICID=sharebar_facebook Consider this too: Mike Ashley is clearly a very successful businessman yet he and his senior staff have managed to put Newcastle United at risk of relegation at the very point when a highly lucrative TV deal has made the club more profitable than any time in its history. To say that it is idiotic would be to invite howls of protest from halfwits everywhere. I was thinking much the same about not trying a leg in the cups...thats worked out well

Derby fell to bits a bit, he didn't seem to know how to arrest the slide...hmmmm...their strikers did get injured though, Martin was out for ages iirc.. Paul Clement to Derby apparently...

"Free estimates, no job too small" The kitchen fitters said theyd give me half their price for the job if I finish the cunt off before bank holiday monday No, I put the heating on and the cable for the as-yet-unfitted bathroom mirror light became liive, which he grabbed with his bare hand I dont know why I'm laughing, it wasnt my fault (someone else tested and marked the circuits up incorrerctly) but I'm in a fair bit of bother for it,school of thought is I should have taken more care, which is technically correct, but short of testing the whole fuckin installation again after the owner's fuckin son had done it last week...anyway, all of which is more interesting than Mako's self indulgent, aggrandising bullshit-fest which opened this thread. More column inches have been wasted on the fucker lately than he's had hot dinners, which is clearly a huge amount. Blokes a cunt, two relegations in 6 years will tell its own story; i.e in this sphere of his empire he's a fuckin failure, simple as that.

Its the quickest route to change....I think more than a season in divi two and crowds will drop right off...they only held up pretty well last time because we walked it. The only thing that would properly piss me off is not seeing us at Bournemouth next season...but there is the season after that...

Mourinho tried to sign Gerrard at 3 different clubs and he certainly thought he could play him and Lampard together. I actually agree, he couldve probably pulled it off and it's more a reflection on the ability of the various England coaches who tried and pretty much failed. Lampards introduction to tournament football at Euro 2006 effectively pushed Scholes into early retirement. It wouldve been interesting how a decent coach would have done with the three of them.

The (surprisingly accurate and articulate) opposition view.. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/38654/? Anyone know if this is true? Three, because Newcastle, like no other place in the UK, is a city with football at the heart of everything. You can literally, physically see it because St James’ Park stands on top of the highest hill, dead in the centre of the city, towering over everything else, visible from wherever you are within 20 miles. I’ve compared it to a cathedral, calling its church together once a week for a common cause and belief. If you go in the actual cathedral in Newcastle, an altogether less impressive structure near the railway station, you’ll find, on the mantelpiece in the coffee shop, a picture of Kevin Keegan making his Newcastle debut (against QPR) rather than one of Jesus. Go and see for yourself.

Clarkie isnt on the list....theres two more, one defender, one striker, Sven capped the defender, Graham Taylor capped the striker...
-
Clarkie got in his first England squad the same week he signed for the mackems...didn't get a cap though...
-
Correct Kev...the rest are a tiny bit more tricky...

Out of 92 clubs across the top four divisions only four of them have a manager who played for England.....in your own time, carry on.....
