  1. Contractor's fees cut by 10%, employees wages frozen according to the BBC this morning, tax revenues plummeting... Wonder what the Scottish Nationalists make of it all?....
  2. Russell wins! http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/dec/18/us-investors-set-sell-new-era-estate-london-protests-westbrook
  3. Surprisingly medically accurate tbf... There's very few games that don't go on sale to members nowadays and seeing as we're at Leicester in the cup in a fortnight it may fairly easy to get one for the league game
  4. Yeah like the Tories are big on financial regulation
  5. Its Spurs apparently, figure of 1 billion being touted Qatar v Ashley....frying pan and fire tbh...
  6. 4 million a year for 5 years. Does Russell Brand know?...
  7. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11296845/Newcastles-next-two-matches-will-decide-Alan-Pardews-future-he-could-end-them-a-hero-or-be-the-enemy-again.html
  8. While he's on about conveniently forgetting things he's forgotten to mention that the 124billion that's needed to be found to bail the UK banks out is being currently paid back via the likes of the bedroom tax. Doubt if that's only temporary.
  9. Been found out this season....I think if you can get the ball in behind for Ballotelli to run on to he'll finish most times...he's about as good as Pardew at setting teams up though.
  10. I got the short straw so am driving...was really looking forward to this but last weekend has made me lose a fair bit of confidence... I think getting Sissoko and Abeid on the pitch together is key, no chance without them iyam..physio room saying Abeid is due back on the 21st so he might stand a chance for tomorrow but this is Pardew we're talking about, not really noted for boldness in selection..
  11. hmm.... http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/dec/15/spanish-football-fragmented-flat-la-liga-blog
  12. Yeah. Fuckin Bamber Gascoigne's legacy remains unthreatened to say the least.
  13. McCoist hands his notice in, has to work his 12 months as per his contract, but him and his staff are all getting a payrise during the notice period

  15. Hmmm....police storm hostage taker armed allegedly with explosives?...
  16. Anyone with a titter of wit knows that Ben Arfa is this morning clocking on at the Milanello training centre near Varese
  17. Thing is, thats the same sort of function on the pitch as Ronaldo and Bale but obviously all three play the role completely differently. I think attacking positions as I understood them 20 years ago are pretty much redundant now, everybody needs to be so much more flexible and innovative. A modern attacker has to have quite a few strings to his bow to be top class.
  18. I'd never heard the term before Fish put it in the title of this thread Wheres @@Meenzer when you need him for a translation?..
  19. Wiki: Müller plays as a midfielder or forward, and has been deployed in a variety of attacking roles – as an attacking midfielder, second striker, centre forward and on either wing. He has been praised for his positioning, team work and stamina, and has shown consistency in scoring and creating goals.
  20. I didn't go due to Xmas, spurs on Wednesday, mackems on Sunday and basically being a pussywhipped tosspot Watched it in the local labour club, a few of our old Sunday morning team were out including two brothers who are gooners who made the point that Arsenal and Newcastle are in similar situations i.e. a large number of supporters want a superficially ok manger out but their employers don't really care as long as the status quo is maintained. Saved from Niall Quinns shitfest by playing Greg Lakes "I believe in father Christmas" on repeat on the club jukebox
  21. Fuckin turboshit, largely down to Pardews set up. Alnwick out of his depth and Abeid uses the ball a gazillion times better than Tiote does...it's fair to say he's been as good in his own way as Sissoko has this season. Travelling to spurs fearing the worst.
