However, people [note the lack of 'can'] make mistakes and there's nothing about needing to have the balls to rectify them. An honest realisation of one's mistakes and a desire not to repeat them is more than sufficient imo. My mistake was to marry the wrong person and stay married for 10 yrs. He was abusive and controlling and with a child in tow you better believe it took a lot of balls to get out and leave. My current fella helped me do that, he was someone I'd known for a lot of years and he helped me realise I deserved more. Yes I had an affair, it's not something I'm proud of but then again i'm not ashamed of it either. I believed in marriage I thought I'd be with the same man for life, but it didn't turn out that way. It's easy for you to say you should have just left but it's really not that simple when you're in that situation. He took my confidence, pride, individuality, freedom and my feeling of self worth and threw them all away.
