I hope you're right about the incoming,but I don't think Sam will be able to pick up players as cheaply as with Bolton.Other clubs know our situation ,and will want to milk it if possible.Players on frees can demand large signing on fees. If Ashley takes over other clubs will treat us like a money pit But whatever happens I hope it happens soon-my nerves are in tatters already

I think it would be true to say that a lot of us had good whinge over the cash that Abromovich has poured into Chelsea.You know,unearned cash upsetting the balance of the league,that sort of thing. Will we all be singing a different tune if Ashleys'cash starts rolling in?

They've had 20 managers over the same period and 6 caretakers. It would appear that we are not worst at the 'select a new manager game',i can't be arsed to check them all out but I wonder if any club has had more than that?

Wasn't Shepherd completely unaware of Bobby until he came out in the press and stated his interest in the job? Very true - I'd forgotten about that too. Something I do remember was when we were trying to replace Keegan. SJH wanted Bobby and made no secret of the fact when it was quite clear that Fred & Doug wanted Dalglish and they got their way. How different would it have been had it been down to Sir John? Yes you're right but Sir John didn't want Keegan in the first place,that was down to Doug and Freddie Fletcher.They persuaded SJH into appointing him. And talking of Freddie Fletcher,never a fan of him,but didn't the wheels start to come off just after he left?

Slightly O/T ,I can't stand it when the players lug most of their family along with them. It's really crept into football over the last 3or 4 seasons.Whether it's a lap of honour/thanks, a testimonial ovation or ,God forbid ,picking up a trophy I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR KIDS
