You're all soft as shite. Call Yasell Geordies? Think I'll go topless on the way home, top up me tan! 57803 True, you know what they say: If you can't stand the cold, then fuck off back where you came from, you southern pansy!

Fuck off! 57442 Mincey mincey mincer. So during your time in the gay area, er i mean bay area, did you have a dabble with the brown paint? 57455 No I fucking didn't. 57506 That's not what Steve said...

What do you call an Arab flying a plane? A pilot, you racist!

I know the obvious quip would be "I'd like to put him in intensive care" but it's such a valuable and limited resource I wouldn't want to waste it on Robbie.

I don't get it. 52617 Didn't he hang himself? 52618 Yes. Still don't get it though. 52620 Maybe if he told it properly... Why was Shipman such a ladykiller? Because he was well hung.

I think he looks like he's winking, but in a rather unneccessarily obvious way. It's akin to shouting DO NOT BE OFFENDED, FOR I AM ONLY JOKING when making throwaway comments in normal conversation.

Re the time limit thing - it is believed that a baby cannot survive outside before 24 weeks so this is the legal limit for abortion (however if it has severe congential abnormality then there is no limit - although this means that doctors decide what counts as severe enough - is that right?). Although most hospitals won't do terminations before 20 weeks. Whether or not you agree with abortion is whole other kettle of fish. Interesting point though -If a pregnant woman is murdered does it count as two offences? And if my mum was murdered when she was 20 weeks pregnant with me would the killer have been charged with two counts? I apologise for making the GRC all serious, but he started it.

I noticed that as well. Muppet.

A man isn't feeling too well, so he goes to the hospital. They run some tests, then the doctor comes to see him to discuss the results. "I'm afraid I've got some bad news - you're dying, and you haven't got long left" The man is distraught. "how long have I got?" he asks. "Ten," says the doctor. "Ten what? Months? Weeks?" asks the frantic patient. The doctor sadly shakes his head. "Nine...."

Well poverty and education are currently such that we can have a pretty much uniformly white Prime Minister, cabinet, House of commons, House of Lords, Police Force judicial system etc, etc So there is only a problem with povert and education with some whites, but with most blacks. 49198 It's difficult, I know, I'm not sure what the solutions are. Ironically, from a personal point of view, I see the the most poverty amongst white people. There are quite a large number of black/asian people I know employed as clinical or research doctors, earning a lot of money. Yet virtually all the scumbags I see on the Metro are white trash. To me this reinforces the idea that the root cause of the problem is cultural and societal (if there's such a word) rather than being about race. I can imagine it is very different in London mind. 49199 Very different in Leeds and Bradford as well.

I don't know about cold, but it certainly pissed it down this morning as I walked into uni. However, this was not enough to stop several girls on my course wearing miniskirts, the mentalists.

The only thing is sned that racist jokes tend to encourage the prejudices that the humour is based on, for example your joke perpetuates the idea that all Pakistanis smell bad. Tsunami jokes, whilst insensitive, don't encourage tsunamis. Mind you, I still laughed at that Stevie Wonder joke.

Your either joking or you are on drugs. 46588 He's right! And that Bryan Adams ditty, best song ever, FACT. 46589 Ayethankyou. Renton, I'm not the one on drugs, all that skag is rotting your brain man. Fantastic peformances all round, even from Kevin 'Nahttinghaam' Costner. One of the best sword fights ever - no fancy thrusting/dodging/parrying, simply two men doing all they can to desperately hack the hell out of each other, which is what a sword fight would actually be like - technique goes out of the window when your life is on the line. Morgan Freeman's rallying cry near the end is giving me shivers just thinking about it. Brilliant action sequences, a rousing theme, a Sean Connery cameo out of nowhere and Alan Rickman's wonderfully evil portrayal of the sheriff is the icing on already very tasty cake. I even love the dodgy stuff - that they walk from Dover to Nottingham via Hadrian's Wall in an afternoon, Costner's accent (he tried an English one but it was so bad the director made him stop) and what exactly were they trying to achieve by being catapaulted over that wall? How did they know the would land in the hay on the otherside? Why does Will Scarlett seem so pleased that for all he knows, he has just flung his friends to their deaths? Absolutley fucking perfect. 46680 Right, so you weren't joking. Personally I thought it was shit, almost unwatchable. And reading your minireview, it strikes me that you can't decide whether the film was genuinely good or just good because it was shit. And may Brian Adams rot in hell : FACT 46691 Genuinely good but with a few daft bits that make me laugh. Best film ever. -
True. But doesn't that come under the banner of bad taste? I deplore racism and those jokes were embarrassing and terrible, but isn't it hypocritical to decry those but still laugh at jokes about paedophiles?

I thought so too but I suppose this is the bad taste joke thread.

He was trying to get it going for years but he never got round to it, Spielberg's definately the one who crashed that car. 45963 Just remembered: I've seen Dr Strangelove, so actually I have seen a Kubrick film! -

Believe me, I wish I hadn't seen it! But didn't he start directing it before he died? -

I haven't seen Full Metal Jacket either. In fact, I haven't seen any Kubrick apart from AI. -
Just to stir things up a bit I know several women who readily admit that their gender are GENERALLY worse at driving. And if I'm honest I agree with them - but then this is probably because I've been told that women are worse drivers, so when I see a woman mess up I automatically think 'typical woman driver', wheras I just think 'stupid twat' if I see a man make a similar error. I'm well aware that men can be terrible - my dad scares the shite out of me when we're on the motorway.
