  1. whats that shiny thing in front of them?
  2. Seemingly the OB have been in dispute with the club since the fixtures were announced. Police view is noon kick off (understandably), the new head of security at SJP is an ex Northumbria Police chief who is arguing that we can reduce the numbers of officers in the ground and therefore the police bill. He reckons Phoenix security can handle everything in the ground with police only involved outside (where the cost is not NUFCs). To back this up the club refused any change of time as that would be confirming the security fears and diluting the argument. It looks like this is a compromise time and hopefully sense will prevail when it comes to policing inside the ground otherwise I dread to imagine what kind of cocktail of violence would be created when you mix Gremlins, SCs, a day on the beer and Phoenix security into Level 7.
  3. I think the court case is too close for an England call up. "Newcastle striker gets 6 months" is a far preferable headline to the FA than "England star gets banged up"
  4. I dont know who this coops is but if it wasnt for the boycotting bit I would have thought he was me! Everything he says there I wholeheartedly agree with, no money is being "pumped into" our club, if you read the statements they always say "invested". Fat Mike is simply loaning the club more money to protect his investment, he expects it all back which is where I argue the fact we're in way bigger shit now than when we owed the banks. As for True Faith, a bigger opponent of MA you couldnt hope to find. Mick Martin raised doubts over the way the club was being ran way before the Keegan saga. He was central in the setting up of the NUSC as a protest group (the view shared by most of us in the original dozen, in particular the other name in that article, Michael Ord). Unlike the "popular" view, I see True Faith as being the only realistic vehicle these days for the protest voice. Hopefully, no matter how many fans are swayed by talk of "financial solvency" and "zero debt" True Faith will continue to print articles and letters which show the other side of the coin. Knowing Mick he'll do that even if it means his readership drops so significantly he ends up stapling printed A4. Something I can guarantee other "fanzine" owners wont do.
  5. According to what you've said then you've been overcharged originally. I get it to be: £62.65 per head (adult) £52.70 per head (kids) she has 41 guests (6 are kids) 35 adults 6 kids = 2245.45 he has 59 adults = 3696.35 total cost - £5941.80 originally paid he - £3498 she - £2574 90% = 3148.20 90% = 2316.60 she overpaid by £257.40 you undepaid by £349.80 you appear to owe her £257.40 however venue appear to owe you £123.70 But its late, Im tired and I could be wrong.
  6. Player who should be dropped to change the formation says "stop shouting about changing the formation"
  7. He isn't actually. Is he not? My bad in that case. He does look a bit like one though. Was he at their academy? Aye, he was. He's from Stoke way I think though. In fact, I think we signed him from Liverpool (he was only at Bolton on loan iirc). ffs that explains it all...
  8. A bit of digging has thrown up one old article to back it up.. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/foot...PITCHES-IN.html According to that we would now be: 110x 69 (7590) clearly making us the smallest in the League although I think the length may have reduced a little too.
  9. Actually maybe they were clever burglars
  10. Krul probably took a swing at him.....and missed
  11. Is it just me that gets the feeling theres now some tension in the dressing room?
  12. Not sure of the exact dimensions but theres been about a yard (basically you can still see the stripe where its been mown previously) sliced off the East Stand, not sure about the West. I never do understand how its ok to have different pitch dimensions, does it happen in any other sport? rugby? basketball? etc
  13. Its all quiet now, no signs of life at the house and there hasnt been since Saturday. Not one car outside, all the blinds shut, no lights etc.
  14. I bet that backfired on Sky Sports though, if Id watched that I wouldnt be rushing out to set up a direct debit.
  15. Stoke manager Tony Pulis says some of Newcastle's attempts to influence the referee were "bang out of order" Seemingly he had a 90 minute rant in the press conference about Barton going down as well as making a big thing of it on BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/9034864.stm Sad, bald paedo faced fucker.
  16. Obviously fighting some demons in his life. RIP
  17. Stoke a team who rely on ariel bombardment and have a one trick pony in Delap yet as a football club what do we do? We leave a gap of three advertising boards 10 yards from the corner flag, he must have been laughing his tits off when he saw that. When we play Stoke we should be redesigning the ground to make it more difficult for him. Those boards should never have been missing and all boards should have been moved forward as far as was legally allowed. Especially as we've narrowed our pitch this season.
  18. Ahhh MacIntyre, nows thats a face Id never tire of punching.
  19. Its unusual to have an accident in more than 1 car though

Why dont you just stay in a hotel within walking distance of the office? rather than travel on the Northern Line?
  21. Canny recovery from Harper. Pah its only Stoke, they'll not bother him
  22. Im not saying Id make a better President than Obama but I probably know more about what it would take to run America than a man who admitted hes never watched the West wing.
  23. tbf they confiscate them for lack of tax, insurance or MOT these days. Admittedly they tend to do that on the highway, not off the driveway. Thats the DVLA that do that, plus the DVLA dont tend to have a team of coppers in blue jumpsuits, going through the house, every room has lights blazing, theres been coppers there since at least 2pm. Two cars have been taken away on the back of lorries and like I said earlier coppers were walking round the estate checking everywhere that cars could be parked to see if the fobs they had worked. if Northumbria Police are reading this, it appears you still need to find a white BMW X6 Lumma silver 911 Black Cayenne (older shape) with black "footballer" alloys Mercedes 6.3 in grey
