Cheers all, at the time of posting all appeared well, about two hours after they whisked him away to Special Care where hes been ever since. Its mainly for observations but it turned out that he had the cord wrapped round his neck which obviously distressed him a lot, since then hes had a bit of a wheeze when breathing so hes on oxygen and fed through a tube, hopefully however he'll be out of the SCU tomorrow and with mam. Have to say that words cant convey just how professional and spot on the staff at the RVI are, basically the midwife took a look at his monitor, calmly said to us that she wasnt too happy with what she was seeing and pressed a button, within a minute the room was full of people who each knew what they were doing and how to do it, doctor took a look and rushed E straight into Theatre, Aneasthetist meanwhile was measuring up and sorting the drugs and I was fitted with a great pair of white wellies and non matching pants, top and hat. Into theatre, on with the suction pump, some pushes from E and voila our own little coneheaded smurf, all within about 10 minutes of a midwife spotting a possible problem. How any government can argue the toss when it comes to paying these people properly is beyond me. Now its bed time, I would have went two hours ago but have been dozing on and off on the sofa since getting in.

George Peter was born at 7.45am this morning, 6lb 15oz. It was scary, complications and a very speedy delivery with that suction cup thing. All looking good now though. Mother and baby doing fine.

woman? who? Exactly that's the disgraceful thing about it, at the time Goody died there was also a woman who had cancer and spent her final years running marathons, jumping out of planes etc to raise funds. I think she got an MBE or summat but when the time came, the rags hardly gave her a mention.
-
I never said she deserved to die however I shed no tears when she went, why would I? She was nothing to me and frankly should never have got the saint like status she was given once she died. The fact we had entire newspapers devoted to her death while a woman who spent her final years raising money for the very thing that killed Goody only got a column or two said it all tbh

Bit different when you know 'em isn't it? I would think it is however in this case it's more the fact that I couldn't give a fuck about the two in question. Tbh i'm now hoping that Goodys mother is the next to go, maybe then we can get rid of the whole sorry affair altogether.

What a surprise though, Ashleys fave paper points out how skint we are and how much Colo is costing us just as the transfer window opens
-
I still like the story (or urban myth) of the lunatic skinhead from Ashington who decided to do himself the word SKINS across his forehead. Having been forewarned that he'd have to write it backwards when looking in the mirror he proceeded to stick the word SINKS across his bonce. I really hope its true

Best wishes TR, Im sure it will all be well.

It's no secret how little I rate Shola however credit where it's due, he's fairly needed this season

http://www.isegoria.net/2010/01/israelific...of-airports.htm Contrast that with how things are done here and in America and theres no comparison, its right what they say, when asking you the questions about "packing your own bag" etc theres no interest in how you answer its merely the answer itself.

Congrats mate, hope all are well. Quiet one for us, in bed at 11.30 asleep at 12.02!

Agree the last sentence totally the first bit I disagree with though, I think the likes of Taylor, Nolan, Jonas, Colo and to an extent Shola will all be on the radar for some of the "bigger" clubs in the Prem.

He'd be one of the first names I'd target, which means we'll go through next season with Ryan Taylor at RB again. I don't see owt wrong with keeping Simpson on as a back-up. There's no way Ashley will finance the whole new team that we need so we may as well grasp some squad depth while we can. why get him back he left us! emmm because hes good enough for us? because he should never have been forced out in the first place? because Ashleys a cunt? many a reason frankly.

Who cares? all my Christmases came last year with the "terrible" loss of Goody and Jackson.

Straight out of the Joe Kinnear book of management
-
And why do you think they wanted to go? was it because they could get better money elsewhere? unlikley. It was because we had no ambition, no future plans and were determined to get rid of them. Given, Beye, N'Zog and Milner were all forced out by an owner who could only see £ signs rather than competing. As for the "IF we was in the premier league i would have a different opion" statement, then what kind of planning is that? fork out for a player who will only get us through the next few months and then not be good enough for the next level. As has been said before, purchases in January should be made with a view to next season not just be good enough for the remainder of this one. The squad we have is good enough to get us promoted (as long as we dont get any key injuries), trouble is under Fat Man this squad will NOT be the same come February.

Anyone got any tips for Roast Beef? Looking for a slightly more advanced dinner tomorrow as we've got the folks around. Usual fare, roast, spuds, veg but if someone has a few tips then I'd be grateful.
