  1. I reckon he'll draw a large crowd.
  2. For 18 years my cat Millie (black n white named after Milburn) has been with me, through thick n thin, shit times and the good times she's always been there. Today however I had to make the decision to have her put to sleep, probably the hardest yet at the same time easiest decision Ive ever had to make. Hard because losing such a good friend after all the years but easy because I knew I was doing what was best for her. Those that say "it was only a cat" however will never understand how loyal and loving these creatures can be and what a loss they are when suddenly they're not there. Devastated tbh
  3. or hes being brought in to replace Oba, Owen and Viduka. Floccari and Shola just saying the words would strike fear into any defence.
  4. Wouldn't mind seeing more of Krul TBF If the deal is good let Given go i think. a few mil and a player Depends what happens to the few mil though.
  5. cant compete with city and there insane transfer dealings , but the likes of spurs ect we should be cant think of one team thats invested less than us since ashley arrived , anyone name one ? Blyth Spartans....hold on I think they may have bought a new lawnmower at some stage
  6. Looks like its not included. The accounts were filed to 30th June according to the first post, interestingly the sale of season tickets was delayed last year and we literally had days to make our minds up, get the cash and pay up. Anyone have a recollection as to when exactly that was? and how far did it differ to normal years? This bit confuses me though: How? these accounts were for the period upto 30/06/08 therefore (in my non accountant head) nothing after that date should be included?
  7. Can you explain where I said you were lining Ashley's pockets? You cant possibly disagree with me 110% when I dont even have that opinion, our support is fuckin shit, anyone that denies that hasnt been going too long. It would be great to see those still going, actually support the team and be the 12th man we used to be, but they're all too busy with their individual scapegoats, booing and jeering the first misplaced pass or cross. Its little wonder some of the players want out and are reluctant to sign new deals, they can see whats going on it appears. You did ask last time and you did get a reply, you can either do what I told you to last time, or not, its no skin off my nose. I would have thought you'd made it perfectly clear here ... And you havent given me any proof that you dont go, none at all. Ive been to the site and theres nowt I can see there. Post it, post it all here explaining how you can prove you own a season ticket and dont use it.
  8. Directors box has plenty empty seats these days. Otherwise just stay clear of Level 7 singing corner and you'll be fine.
  9. What happened to the days of trips to Portugal and Spain to bond and train?
  10. I think the opposite could happen for me, I may become more selective for home games but attend more away ones than now. That way I dont get the overall feeling of doom that I now get when entering that stadium, I wont feel like Im somehow selling my soul to the devil by attending.
  11. Mike Ashley knows that people who have paid and arent going will not be renewing and not giving him another penny, he may be laughing, but not as much as the saps still going and still lining the pricks pockets even after he's blatantly taking the piss out of them. Me not going has zero affect on the players, dont be so fuckin stupid. People like you are the reason he's continuing to take the piss out of us, for the 4th consecutive window, you're too fuckin stupid to understand what can be done and absolutely clueless as to what has happened. I wont waste my time any further on here with people like you, every one of us has a choice, but I wont be assisting Ashley in tearing apart our club. Good look Kev, something is better than nothing. So can you explain to me exactly how Im lining Ashleys pockets by going to the game? I have paid for my season ticket upfront, regardless of the fact that I disagree 110% with you on the fact we should actually be behind the team at times like this not ignoring them. When I goto the game I go in at 2:55 and go straight to my seat, at half time I will not buy a pie or a pint, at the Spurs game I had a stinking headache and forgot to get water beforehand no matter how bad though I wouldnt buy a bottle in there. At the end of the game I leave, not a penny is handed from me to Ashley and Co during that time however my support is given to those on the field. Im sure Ive asked you this before and got no reply, prove to me that you dont go to the games even though you have a season ticket. Prove that somewhere in your house on a Saturday afternoon there is a smartcard sitting in a drawer unused.
  12. Radgi? every year she goes for it.
  13. Give Van Basten video & TV repairs a call on 078....
  14. Who? what? where? eh? Top Cat, Tom and Jerry. Scooby Doo (without that twat Scrappy)
  15. Because all of the above are likely to speak out if something isnt going right.
  16. That would explain the queue of clubs banging on his door for the last 4 years. A man of his experience and knowledge should have been able to get the job at any First Division club yet strangely he didnt even get offered lower clubs than that.
  17. We still have a goddam fine looking badge though.
  18. There's some people who sit near me at the match who've been going longer than I've been alive and they're clueless as well. I think that while he is not to blame for the situation at the club he is quite clearly nowhere near the quality of manager we should be trying to attract and now he's been offered a new deal. That's where the anger comes from. His four years out of the game speaks volumes (something else he's felt the need to lie about btw). Whilst i agree with your overall sentiment in that I don't think it is the progressive long term appointment we were all hoping for and an extension to his contract is very disappointing i just think that the negative slating that he gets on here is sometimes a bit much - he may be Ashleys puppet and talk shite - yes i agree - but to disregard his entire career as an irrelevance (not you, just in general) just reinforces the stereotype that everyone outside the club have of our fans I prefer to regard the 2 wins in 13 games as a glowing testament as to why hes not suitable. Or if thats not enough then the disgraceful way he handles any kind of contact with press or officials. Then of course theres the blatant and downright lies.
  19. Im always nervous before these but this one is making me shit myself already. The sheer terror of seeing them turn us over and what may happen in the aftermath is seriously worrying.
  20. As Tom says it'll normally be pricey however based on current proceedings you should be able to buy the whole of level 7 for a ton.
  21. Rather than having once worked for one of the chairman's old mate's? CC: "Hello? Mike? Mike Ashely?" MA: "Yes?" CC: "Its Colin, Colin Calderwood" MA: "Who?" CC: "Colin, we met at that party Dennis had back in 2004" MA: "Who?" CC: "You know man, the fancy dress party, I was the one in the Gladiator outfit and you came as what was it again? Jabba the Hut, aye that was it" MA: "I wasnt in fancy dress" "anyway what do you want?" CC: "Well you said that if I ever needed anything like and well errrmmm....." MA: "And? What can you do?" CC: "Well Im a failed football manager and coach" MA: "Smashing, when can you start?"
  22. I think his was always a short term appointment for the transition period. Like getting Theo Paphitis in for a transition and once he's gone replacing him with David Brent. You're right there however I think that if Ashley ahd stuck to his promises then I reckon Mort may well have reconsidered and taken the job full time. It definitely appeared he was liking the whole thing.
  23. hasn't he just loaned the club the debt money? Ie we now owe mike Ashley instead of barclays? If so, is he charging us interest?
  24. I reckon its more likely that three liferafts will be stuffed full of money and used to sail into the distance leaving Kinnear to go down with his ship.
