Depends whether they ask him his name at the start, if so, then 98% lies.

Planning my friend, planning.

All along though I just felt the nearer we got to January the less chance anyone with any sense would take us over.

I like these stories, leak them to the press and it looks like we're making progress. Even if Joe is in for him, any kid with half a brain wouldnt choose us over any one of a dozen Premiership clubs and theres no way we'll be making offers higher than the others anyway so the Sheff U arent going to force him to sign for us.

Not having a dig - what was your prediction i must have missed it Took a while to hunt it out, here and in a few other threads. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?showtopic=21636

Wait...hold on..... Didnt somebody predict exactly this about two months ago and was shot down? Pudradamus indeed

We posted that because when it happened we sent out a question to our members, rather than make assumptions on what those that were members felt about it we started to do the proper thing and ask them, their replies were then posted to show the feelings of those replying (and these replies are all of those with a comment, not just the ones that back our views). That was done rather than us writing a statement that the likes of yourself would then jump on and say "you dont know what Im thinking, you dont represent me" well these people are represented by us and therefore their views matter.

You mentioned Keegan mate not me, you made out that KK was a true supporter of this club whereas those of us in the NUSC werent. So why werent you in when we were protesting? When we got shit thrown at us from all quarters because we were chasing Ashley and trying to force things to change? Why wasnt your name sitting on the list of members then? Because nobody can honestly say we hadnt started to do those things. Times change, many of those that had joined up were making it clear that protest at the time was not applicable, many more of those that hadnt yet joined were saying the same. We ourselves knew that you cant force somebody to sell a £200million entity if nobody is willing to buy it. More worryingly we knew that we needed to try and get Ashley to invest in January and maybe picketing him and calling him an arsehole wasnt quite the right way to go about it. Overall though we realised that without the backing of many people we cant organise mass protests.

We still have this debt though and to me its a more worrying bank than the ones we had before. We now owe Ashley this money, in the past we paid some interest and chipped a bit off the debt now we are in the position where if the "bank" loses a few million at the casino the day before then we may lose a striker or two to finance it.

during all the crap from this week, NUSC has storys up about stewards and bloody Q & A's about things that have been asked a thousand times and we all know the answer too. no i havent signed up nor given any reason to as of late . You say that like its some sort of clever statement. "Oooh look at me Im all alternative, I refuse to tell you where I think you're going wrong." You see the likes of you and KCG's want it all, want a supporters club that doesnt make statements when you think things arent too bad (even though we have been warning it would come to this). Dont want boycotts of goods or services when you think its not needed but when things go even further tits up suddenly you want to shout about the fact those things arent being done. Oh but you dont want to join up to help work towards that difference and you dont even want to answer the question about why you didnt sign up after you'd shown initial interest but you do want us to fix those reasons why before you'd even contemplate it. For the record I have absolutely zero problem with anyone who doesnt want to join the NUSC. What I do have a problem with is those that chop and change their stance when the weather suits them but will always refuse to do anything about it themselves. Those such as you two who want somebody else to do the work and others to finance it but want to moan when they dont do what you think they should be doing. Im interested to know what these Q&As are you refer to though. im afriad you have me confused, if im to support an organisation of the club with the fans interests at heart , i want them pushing the club every bloody step of the way, my stance is your the voice of people who have no say in the club but deserve one , pussy footing around sitting on the fence because of a few 'random joes' with stockhom syndrome are moaning shouldnt stop nusc fighting for this club . thats why i loved keegan (not a worshiper of the dude , just respect him ) he pushed the chairman every step of the way cos he was a true fan . You are obviously a deluded character then, I have every respect for KK but to make him out to be this saint who did everything for his love of the club! did he bollocks, KK took this job because he wanted the money, fair play to him I have no problem with that. He then left the job when he felt he wasnt being backed, fair play again thats his decision. Keegan however is not a true fan, when have you seen him sitting in the stands watching one of our games? I cant remember a single instance when he came here. He didnt even bother to watch us on telly over the last four years. Say what you like about the NUSC, say what you want about the rest of us fans but dont ever spout that kind of shit by saying KK is a bigger fan of this club than I or anyone else thats ever stood in a freezing SJP on a Monday night in January.

As it stands today I agree with you, the proof for me will be if that statement holds up come 6th February. If those "shitter" teams invest wisely then they may just turn their season round. If we do the opposite (which I think is a distinct possibility) then we could be fooked.

To coincide with the little charity bet that I have going with Baggio, this thread should be used to record only those confirmed transfers in and out. We will amend this OP with a summary whenever things change. In Peter Lovenkrands (free) Kevin Nolan (4 million) Ryan Taylor (down as free here but was part of the Charlie deal ie Taylor plus 6 million for N'Zog) Out Shay Given (8million) Insomnia...Unsumnia...Charlie (6million) Profit/ Loss = £10million Loss Current payout = £100 Baggio

you have got to be fucking joking with that tackle!!!!

Thing is he'd be stupid to sign now, the contract hes been offered would obviously reflect the fact hes 2nd choice keeper. If Given goes then he should have a better contract. He'll be waiting to see what happens with Shay first (or he'll have a clause written in that says he automatically gets x amount rise if Shay leaves).
-
cheers (and to those others that didnt PM me anything at all dodgy)

Im not sure how the rebuilding of the house will make any difference to where he goes other than if the makems or smogs were to come in for him. Although Harper is capable him signing his contract is now dependent on a new contract being drawn up and it being to whatever he classes as his level as first team keeper. Im guessing he will now want what Given was on so maybe he will stall on it. Hes currently in the position of being able to negotiate a move wherever in the Summer, that position is heavily strengthened by the fact he'll become first choice keeper. I think our chances of him signing a contract now are slim. He can raise his value with other clubs because hes going to be in the shop window now whereas before he was just the bloke on the bench. We could see him attempting to command a bigger salary than Given had which would be laughable tbh or he proves himself in the next few months and also moves on for a nice fat signing on fee leaving us with Krul.

Tell you what mind the copywriter at the Journal needs shot to shit. Thats the worst spelling of bullshit Ive ever seen.

Oh it is a superfan debate If you're that interested, go to the site the article was published and ask they'll tell you. Not really, Im asking you to prove to me that you are a fan who has paid for 3 years ST and isnt using it. By not using it I assume you mean it lies in a drawer on Saturday afternoon and doesnt get used. Well prove it.

Keep up lad! Because you wouldnt be spending money by buying a tick.... errrr well you wouldnt spend money in the ground on Bovril and the likes but at the same time the organised boycott of club products was a stupid and fruitless exercise.

Perhaps if the club had followed KK's advice and got it sorted out last spring we wouldn't be in this situation?.......oh well...... Because Owen would definitely of signed back then! I've seen nothing from Owen to suggest he's ever had any interest in staying here longer than he had to, his commitment was there for all to see when Shepherd questioned it after it slipped out about the £9 million buy out clause, he didn't say a thing until the window had closed with nobody interested. This now though isnt about whether Owen would or wouldnt have signed a new contract, however I do go with the belief that we had a much better chance of it happening before all this shite kicked off. What is at question now is whether Ashley has the balls to keep him here and not accept any offers unless they are clearly worth the money ie good chunk towards the next striker that we've already got lined up. I however think he'll accept 2 or 3 million because "well its cash innit, Im not giving him away for free that would be just stupid!"
