This talk about the later meetings not being publicised confuses me, why would they be? the two meetings that have taken place since the original Irish Club one have been committee meetings where we discussed the setting up, naming, leafletting campaign etc. The 1st meeting for members will be publicised well in advance and everyone who ahs signed up will get an invite. Minutes etc will then be available on the website. And yes, Im installing a payment method on the website as we speak.

Then I understand that, like I say give it a couple of days for the latest lot of stuff to come out ie who the board are and what the money is going to go towards before deciding. At the same time though, is putting a couple of names and faces and a lot of spiel about how we will get this and donate towards that etc going to give you the trust? Unless you get a full detailed background of history and financial aspects on each member are you going to be swayed? Oh and Im not allowed near the cash or the girls toilets

So are you saying though, that you dont have enough trust in those running it? (and Im not getting defensive here, Im trying to see where the issue is). £10 is £10 whether you're one of 100 or 50000 you would still be paying the same. The difference in your argument is that the club will have more cash at its disposal. So we can either do more things or have a bigger surplus running over into the following year. I, personally have a thousand and one ideas as to what the money could be used for and what this club can do in the future, I know others on there do too. Add to that the membership when its up and voting and you have an unlimited supply of ideas etc. I do know however that it will not all be used on getting Ashley out by scrawling on bedsheets. All accounts will be fully audited, available for viewing and covered by all of the relevant statutes and rules. We already have accountants and solicitors on the board. The bank account requires 6 signatures on it and a minimum of 2 to move any money out. Its a dedicated account for this type of thing and in a bank that is not going to be affected by the credit crunch. Look at it this way, if you do join up and we fail miserably then all you will have done is made a donation to the SBR appeal. There are only two reasons why people shouldnt join up, 1 they dont believe in what we're doing which is fair enough I have no problem at all with the fact that some people will not want to join. Or 2 you simply cant afford it, but if thats the case then I would urge you to register your support and send an email in explaining why you cant afford it so we can gauge the opinion and levels of the problem.

if you made it free or donation based then you would get a load of makems joining and paying nowt. One of the reasons we found for having it paid is that it will reduce the chances of organised spoils, just think of when Man City had a vote to name their new stand

I know its hard to face mate but unless you were under the belief that all was rosy and well then you'll find that life will be good in the future, just make sure that you look to all the things you wanted to do but couldnt because you were married. I dont mean shagging the blonde from number 5 (although if you get the chance ) I mean plans, aspirations etc. Change job if you want to, follow that career you really wanted. As long as you now have enough money for the maintenance and to keep yourself alive then you can do anything you want. If however, you sit at home and stew on it then it'll eat you up. And this bit is out of date If it wants to be taken seriously, then that first paragraph needs taking out, especially the bit in bold. Done, the index page had been thrown in as I wanted the new site to be in place for the statement being issued therefore I stuck the statement on, creating a new index page was low on my list of jobs (which I think was a mistake tbh as its the most important page. I've stuck a new amended version on but will look to create a better one soon. With reference to this thread itself, I havent ignored it but I actually dont have the answers yet and dont want to post anything other than fact in here. If we're being honest theres been a couple of things rushed and cobbled together on this which in hindsight would have been better holding off until other things are sorted (such as the request for a joining fee before having the information for people). My advice is the same, if you join now or in a months time its irrelevent to me or the NUSC therefore I would recommend holding off joining until you've seen the information on what its going to be going towards. Unless of course you are happy to join regardless. I would hope that people trust us enough not to just blow the cash on a trip to Fiji but fully understand the concerns people have.

Are you actually saying that I shouldnt like? give up my time and energy (such as sitting all night building the site and then going to do a days work). Then use this place to post information about it and suddenly thats a bad thing? I tell visitors to the main site where they can find info on the NUSC, the main places are nufc.com, true-faith and here. What would you like? me to stick N-O on there instead?

At the end of the day, what happened happened, one thing I will say is that the one person who now seems to see it for what it was ie a joke is HTT. Ive had a conversation with him only last week where we ended up laughing about it.

Basically, I played a small prank on the people who had a campaign to get Hitzfeld as our manager. It was harmless enough, just setting up a fake German newspaper and requesting interviews in pidgeon english, the sort of thing that happens in the playground every week. Anyway Im not proud of what I did (even if it was a masterpiece ) but I would have gotten away with it if it hadnt been for them pesky kids that spotted the fact Id translated Alan Shearer into something to do with sheep using babelfish. Shipleys ok and yes the road from the A1 to Shipley and through Otley etc is very nice. But I couldnt live there, visiting a couple of times a month for work is enough for me.
