I think its a great idea and a one which should raise much needed awareness for good causes and frankly, can only benefit the community overall. Thats why I have created a pledge myself: Peasepuds Pledge -

look, make your mind up either Im building gemmillsarse.com or not

Has anyone any experience of setting one up? I've got a contract to build one involving a members only area and was going to build it using php however I've done some searching and theres loads of ready made scripts out there but Im not sure which one to use. Anyone have any recommendations or would it be better to build my own? They're looking to take as many different payment methods as possible such as noChex, Paypal, cash/ cheques through the post etc so it needs to be flexible.

hmmm using an example from a prison film probably aint the best idea.

What worries me is that as an accountant you're only way of getting out of drudgery is those 6 numbers. Use your imagination lad, you have access to company accounts, shift some here, move some there, transfer some, exchage it back and forth between Dollars and Francs each time taking the pennies for yourself. Come on maaan, get a grip stop wishing your life away and do something about it, fraud thats the way forward. Oh and count yourself lucky the rest of us have 6/7ths drudgery, we've got to stand and talk to you on a piss up on the 6th day.

hmmm Im now thinking its not the sites or server but my PC, I've seen the same thing suddenly happening on a number of other sites (totally random ones, not my own). And when I view them on the laptop then theyre ok.

I've got a main PC and two laptops connected to a wireless network, the main PC is wired (Ethernet) As well as many other dodgy things happening, Im now getting a freeze when I try to open/ refresh some pages. When it happens this box appears. If I press Cancel then the page loads (often followed by the box appearing again). I know its not the Internet connection because I never get the problem on the laptops. Any thoughts?

a few new domain names shall be purchased.

I know the feeling it always seems like 3 days have passed when Im stood talking to you at a pissup.

I've designed and built a number of sites and needed to make a small change to 5 of them. Opened the page in Dreamweaver, made the change and then uploaded the new page to the server. Now when I view the pages where I should have had a list of linked banners I get the following: [AD] [AD] [AD] [AD] In Font size 1, the links still work but the banners dont appear, so I opened the page in Dreamweaver again and a sample of code looked exactly how it should, like this: <td align="center" valign="middle"><a href="http://www.linkgoeshere.whatever" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.image location.co.uk/banners/thebanneriwant.gif" alt="The site I want" width="468" height="60" border="0" /></a></td> However, if I go on the site and view source, this is what shows up: <td align="center" valign="middle"><a href="http://www.linkgoeshere.whatever" target="_blank"><FONT size=1>[AD]</FONT><AD- o.uk/banners/thebanneriwant.gif" alt="The site I want" width="468" height="60" border="0" /></a></td> So I know the problem isnt with my versions on the HD but has happened either during upload or on the server. Ive tried corecting one and reloading it but still the same happens. Anyone seen anything like this before?

MSCONFIG should have turned anything like that up. Does the problem improve if you leave it off for a couple of hours? Does the fan sound like it's working overtime? 177807[/snapback] In reply to all three of those, Nothing appears that I can see, what I did seem to have is a shitload of svchost.exe running, maybe about 10 or so even though I only had one occurence of Firefox going. It must be a virus although the softwares not picking it up, I now have the sam problem on the main PC but on there its identifying a trojan and deleting but it just keeps reappearing.

Tried rebooting numerous times, checked MSCONFIG and shut off miscellaneous items in Startup but no joy. It was fine yesterday but since I defragged it last night its been nowt but bother My clock currently shows 23:51 and has done for the last ten minutes or so.
