  1. As I havent checked the emails for 3 days Ive just been into Outlook and have a grand total of 788 emails waiting of which Id say 99% are spam. One problem for me is the use of catch-all email addresses. I administer 21 different websites each with their own range of email addresses however in every URL Ive set up catch-alls which means anything@thewebsite will come through to the main account. Time to kill them catch-alls off I think.
  2. Maybe Patrokles has short term memory loss and actually only owns one album, each time is like a whole fresh and exciting new experience.
  3. Believe it or not, that's probably the least gayest excuse I've had today. I'd love to but Im off shagging six women before taking part in a drinking contest and watching the boxing. *Do I win the least gayest excuse award?
  4. Well todays the day and boy I cant wait. All those months of training and in a few hours it will all be worth it. Being there, part of history, just one in a sea of faces each and every one of them there to do their bit, make their mark. The young and the old, short and tall will take their place and set off from Cowgate. Coming across the Tyne Bridge is an iconic sight and then up and around Felling past the stadium where many attend. By the hour mark I know I'll be getting bored just wanting the end but theres no time for that I know I must be focussed keep on top of my game, all that training wasnt for nothing I shall succeed. Just being there isnt enough its nothing if you dont see it through. I must be strong and wait it out, the eyes of the worlds media are upon me and all are willing me on. Then next thing you know the finish line, man after woman after comedy banana start streaming through all checking the clock, is it better than last years time? At that point I will know that the months of early mornings, evening sesssions and special diet will all be worth it. So if you're doing it today then good luck to you too, like me Im sure the heavy schedule has taken its toll on your private life but after you've crossed that line and get your medal you can wander into the refreshment tent for a well earned brew, maybe I'll see you there if I do I'll make sure to give you an extra spponful of sugar in ya tea. Now then, remember me training...turn on hot water tank, fill with water, two boxes of PG, get cups out... "Tea or Coffee sir, oooh well done" gawd Im so nervous!!

    Good Covers

G.U.N. did a fantastic cover of GrandMaster Flash's White Lines. Personally though, a cover is only good if its totally different to the original, for instance Travis doing Britneys "Baby hit me one more time" was inspired. Marilyn Manson's cover of Depeche Modes Personal Jesus, one for Gemmill here but Erasure always did good Abba covers. Theres one or two more but me heeds puggled at the mo. oooh oooh how could I forget Ian Brown doing Thriller and Billie Jean.
  6. I cant remember him ever paying silly money to take a piss poor manager off their hands days before they were gonna sack him anyway, obviously a rank amateur.

Ehhh? I now have a picture in my head of Alan Robson stood there in an operating theatre scalpel in hand while saying "oooooh its exciting innit" and laughing manically. My mam was the manager of a GP surgery in the West End for many years. The building got a bit of an overhaul and Robson did the honours on the opening day. oh bloody hell, whereabouts? that might explain my lack of healthcare as a child.
  9. Wonderful ideals, totally impractical, if even fair. You expect people who work their arses off to provide the same opportunities to their children as someone who does the bare minimum? Don't forget to tell the last one out to turn out the lights, because those remaining won't be able to afford it. To turn yout point around why should waste of space kids get a lift in life from hard working parents? If people's only motive in life is to leave a "stash" for the kids after death then I think thats sad - you should enjoy the fruit of your own work and hope that your kids can look after themselves. Inherited wealth propogates class, power and everthing else thats unfair in this country. Or to turn yours around, why should a person who has spent the last x years of their life looking after a sick parent suddenly be left with nowt? as for: How would this help those services? they are currently stretched, what you're saying is add in another million or so people into each. Breed a blackmarket for operations etc as Joe Bloggs the multimillionaire has a dodgy hip, under your rules he cant legally jump the queue by going private so he goes for his consultation, pulls out a wad of cash and tempts the consultant to lift him above little old Mrs Muggins who only offered him a Werthers Original.

  11. I would still argue though that when comparing chairmen you have to take other things into account than just league placings. Take Wigan for example, 30 years ago they werent even a professional club, Dave Whelan took over and now look at them. Are you seriously saying that just because under Fred we've been in Europe a few times then FF's better? Boro, never won nowt, in 3rd division then along comes Gibson and they're in a UEFA final, able to employ future England managers and more importantly able to attract players over us. You have to take a load of things into account when comparing chairmen, the biggest one being where the club was when they took over compared to where they are now, we are not in as good a position therefore Freds took us backwards.
  12. At the end of the day its Roeders fault for picking him.

I once saw the hairy cornflake in Morrisons oh and Nicky Brown in Reds Diner (now Boom or summit, at the bottom of the bigg market) New Years eve 1988 or the like. He wasnt spinnin nae decks or owt just having a meal.
  15. Two different formats of next-generation DVDs, basically, with much greater capacity for higher detail picture quality. There is going to be a format war. It's nothing to worry about tbh. How can you say "theres going to be a war" and expect us not to worry? OMG!!! somebody think of the children!
  16. I once forced the toon to miss out on the greatest manager ever in the history of the world ever with a childish prank.
  17. this is a fun guessing game but yea, the first answer was right. Yorke, little twat that he is was with a Jordan lookalike so I suppose its not all bad.

  20. Anyone know whats going on there at the minute? When I passed there were 3 police cars next to the Picture Framing shop and the helicopter overhead. Looked quite hefty like but no sign of a crash or anything.
  21. News is coming in that the grandfather of the 5 month old girl killed by rottweillers has been attacked and his partner killed. No link as yet but bloody hell!
