Errmm what did you do PP? (or what are you about to do)?

Im thinking of buying a season ticket for Torquay united this year. I dont normally, I just pop along to the odd game I can make. But they have a really good offer on at the moment if you purchase a season ticket before 15th May it will only cost £199 thats for any area of the ground, works out at an incredible £8.65 per match!!!!!! If you purchase your ticket after that date the tickets revert to normal prices of £300/£320. What a great price even for the conference or if we win the play offs, for league football.

I'm with Tiscali, maybe I'll get cheaper broadband now I was starting to look around anyway, as mine is £14 a month.

I couldnt leave a job without one to go to, I'd worry meself silly!! My other half did it, though slightly different as he left his job of 29 years (just couldnt stand it anymore) and set up his own business just over a year ago, never looked back tbh! Dodgy time to do it I agree, but worked for us.

Let's see another one of you first, Parfitt! Oiii!!! I've so missed you Bianca!!
-
I'm not a geordie myself...but what about the Geordie men on here? I've never seen a pic of ANY of you I dont think. I hope you're not like those bare chested, fat bellied lads that the TV cameras have such a fascination for

That's good of him. Shhh! You know what I mean. I've been mulling this over and I have come to the conclusion that in a nutshell, what a man wants is just a peaceful simple life! I bet if I asked hubby he'd say as long as he had a home, food, sex and enough money to live and do his racing and have a few pints when he liked he's quite content
-
I definitely couldnt say I feined my love of football for my man's sake...he HATES it I can only speak for my hubby, (and we've been together 27 years) Quite simply what he wants is someone to love him, share things with him and support him. I do cook and clean for him and look after him I suppose but it isnt a chore (well most of the time it isnt)! But equally he does things for me...I never want for anything, he treats me as his equal, he never questions what I do...we respect each other and acknowledge the fact that we have some seperate interests. As you get older things get easier I think, we are both strong minded people and just sometimes have to agree to disagree on certain subjects.

Mind you, they have one of the best home records in the conference this season. (admittedly probably cos no one can play football on their pitch) And they finished 2 places above Stevenage and one place behind Cambridge!! Torquay have the best away record. Mind dont judge either of us by yesterday's game....though I wish the Toon had some of the fight that those teams showed yesterday Stevie I was wandering the same as you about Histon's ground. Going back a few years Torquay were actually relegated to the conference with Stevenage coming up, but werent allowed to take their place in the league because their ground wasnt suitable. (bet they hate us)!

It probably will be, there was a decent atmosphere when I went to Torquay a few years ago when we were in the same division. It's just a shame Histon will have about 50 fans there. It was rocking!!! Watched the game last night, t/r. Some harem scarem moments for both sides and it could easily have finished 5-3 to Torquay. Even at 2-0, the tie is far from over. I hope to be watching again on Monday. What I love about this conference football is the honesty. Of course there's a lot of skill lacking in it, but the action is whole hearted and honest. It's almost like top flight football was like 30 years ago with the rough and tumble going on and the players not rolling around in agony after the slightest of touches. Well we did it Snakey! It has given us something to cheer about at least!!! Wembley here we come! (again) Aye, well done. I watched it yesterday evening and thank God Torquay won. There was only one side attempting to play football and it warnt Histon. As for their pitch............what a fuckin field it was. What has to be said (Stevie will be impressed) was the magnificent support the Torquay fans gave. The whole game (the WHOLE game) was conducted to a noise of support from the Torquay fans. Tell whoever you know that went they are a credit to football support. Except for the drum!! Get rid of the fuckin' drum. See you on the pitch at Wembley ????? Ohh yesss What a great noise the yellow army made indeed. I am so proud of our club and the fans. Getting out of the conference isnt easy, I hope to god this is our time...we should be back in the football league because we play football. What about Sillsy with his mask? what a star he is! (loved the Zorro celebration he did last game)! As for the drum, I think there was a whole thread on the TUFC forum making sure the drummer went, as he gets the fans going so well. Cambridge are the team I least wanted in the final as they were knocked out last year by Exeter. Still, least we will have a decent pitch (I hope) to play our football!!! I'm surprised you can type 'Exeter' without gagging or spitting (no pun intended) following last year's events. Mind you, they have gone on to better things this season. Is Stevens back at school today :D what a little spitfire he is though!! As to last season's events... I still wonder how the hell did that happen?? Like you say though what a season they've had. Many of their fans have been very complimentary to us...but thats easy for them at the moment. They wouldnt be so gracious normally!!

I need Torquay to win again like the weekend! I've got a 5a on Hamburg (10/3) won 0-1, Stevenage 11/10 (won 3-1 with 10 men), and Torquay 10/11 howay the seagulls or whatever the nickname is, the Welsh cunts or whatever you know. £86 if they win decent start to the weekend. Im confused who's Welsh? (Hope you're not calling Torquay C**** Stevie)!! Anyway we did it for you, The Gulls won 2-0 Great atmosphere at Plainmoor. By the way, I think its Brighton who are The Seagulls, we are simply, The Gulls.
-
Sorry did that one yesterday in the swine flu thread!!!
-
Best atmosphere? .....Hopefully tonight at Plainmoor as we take on Histon in the play-off semi final first leg!!!

I could watch his qualifying laps at Monaco for ever.

That film was first talked about years ago - think they were on about Antonio Banderas playing Senna... BBC did a tribute programme on him back in 1995 and they've linked it onto their website HERE Well worth a look Thanks Craig, I'll take a look. This is what i read yesterday... http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/29...ts-green-light/

RIP. Cant watch those videos without blubbing, even now
-
Well done Jimbo. I was going to mention it today. Senna is my absolute idol, I still get choked up just thinking about that day, I remember it so well. Even now I still cant believe he's gone, its incredible how someone you don't know makes such an impression on you. I read yesterday somewhere that a film is in the offing, with Senna's family's consent. Not sure how I feel about that one really

I dont feel so alone now

Yes its crazy down here

D'oh PS I've just tried to ring the pig flu helpline but all I get on the line is cracklin'!

Just let me know if you need any Vic rubbed into your chest. Talking about the spread of this, I see all the reporters were trawling the streets where the two Scottish people live. Hey-ho, then go home, potentially spreading the germ further. Just like the foot and mouth. Thank you Snakey, I'll let you know! (Cant be ill cos its the big match Friday...(playoffs V Histon) Hope you will be watching?

Well we have it here in Torbay now I work in Paignton with some of the mums of kids who go to the same school where we've had the outbreak...told them all to keep the hell out of my way
