Well Snakey we did it! We beat Burton and are in the play offs! What a game, Burton promote as champs, but they were really lucky. Did you watch it? EDIT: Oops, sorry just read your message! I might have guessed you'd be watching the mighty Gulls!

Now that would be classic. Hope to see them in the Football League soon. How poetic would it be for those fans who stayed loyal to their roots and supported AFC instead of defecting with the old club. FWIW, I believe that not many kept allegience with the team now known as MK Dons - most of their fans are from Milton Keynes. Be one hell of a match though. Imagine the fan rivalry! It would be like us moving 35 miles south and starting a new team in Boro. I couldn't support them and would support a splitter group simialr to AFC Wimbledon. I hope they do well though, as they are obviously the real continuity of Wimbledon FC unlike MK Dons who are just a franchise really. Yeah AFC Wimbledon are in the Conference proper now. MK Dons look like they're going to be in the playoffs at least in League 1, which could mean they're playing Championship football next year... which will be a fucking travesty. The step from Blue Square South (or North) to Conference proper is massive though, there are some big clubs in that league. Oxford, York, Wrexham amongst others. Many of those clubs are fully professional and have the benefits on the pitch that come with that status. AFC have to sign a few players, loan a few players and just guarantee survival, then next year look to go professional. I've not met a single MK Dons fan in London so I'd guess most of their support comes from Milton Keynes. There's a lot of ill-feeling towards that club from the Wimbledon fans that I know and have subsequently met, but they have their priorities in order. AFC Wimbledon comes first and foremost, then they cheer the results of their counterparts. Have to add Torquay there, we're above all those clubs this season! Its tough to get out of the conference....one of my worst days ever when we relegated. I have a feeling AFC Wimbledon will do it eventually though, they seem to be unstoppable, what theyve achieved already is impressive.

I enjoyed the qualifying today, you just never know whats going to happen this season! But my god, Eddie Jordan pissses me off enormously!!! I swear DC will deck him before the season is out I always liked Eddie, but not in this role....he seems to just say the opposite to everyone else just for effect.
-
Yep in the conference, if we (Torquay) dont go up we'll be playing them next season, have to say I have loads of respect for them.

I have become less rigid with age. that's all now thats a whole new topic!

Bet that rocked! Were QOTSA supporting or was that just the opening show? Na, it was a band called "The Answer" which we missed because we were stood outside (admittedly drinking beer) waiting for some others in the group to arrive. ACDC rocked though. We all proper went for it. I might have gone a bit mental for You shook me all night long and highway to hell Fookin blinding gig and for a bunch of blokes just either side of 60 they can definitely still cut it. Edit: You just reminded me, the last time I saw ACDC they were supported by QOTSA - Milton Keynes in 00/01 ish Ahh I thought I'd read they were supporting this tour too Where do AC/DC get their energy from? Awesome!

I seem to have become less rigid in my views as I've got older, now I can see both sides of a story, like Renton says its all shades of grey! Which annoys me sometimes! I suppose life's experiences have left their mark, things arent always as they seem. I dont think age maes you more condescending, just more confident, you just dont care what others think so much.

You got my hopes up. It's the original with a male vocal instead of a female vocal. Why would I want that? Am I the only one who expected this to be a cover of the Rainbow song Christ, I'm not that old am I? No, you're not the only one, I thought that too. We must be old
