  6. I like things like this. My maiden name- O'Callaghan Irish name says family is descended from Ceallachan, the 10th century king of Munster. First found here where we were seated from very ancinet times! My married surname, Loram. English-First found in Bedfordshire where they were anciently seated as Lords of the Manor!! (hubby will find that funny as his mates call him Lordy Loram at the moment cos of where we now live) Scottish-Says Scotland is the homeland of the noble surname of Loram. Originally the Loram family lived in the French province of Lorraine, before moving to Scotland. Then underneath it says, first found in Northumberland where they were anciently seated as Lords of the Manor of Kirk Hall some say, from the time of the Norman conquest. What i do know is some members of the Loram family recently did trace their ancesters and went back as far as 1700's and they had only moved from Brixham in Devon to Ideford in Devon which isnt far! Has anybody got the link to that site where you can put your surname in and it shows on a map where the family lived? (taken from the census records) I did have it but cant find it now, it was posted on here.
  7. Depends what you want i suppose. There are some very good eating places in town. The touristy bars and clubs by the harbour are expensive and the clubs there are full of kids, but like anywhere, there are some very good pubs to be found, especially the ones that have live music 'Grockles' tend to head for the harbour because at night its lit up looking 'pretty' with many bars and clubs. Sorry, but ooh arrr, that bee funnayyy. Sorry, but thats what they're called here
  8. I can understand what you're saying Jonny, we often race at Birmingham Wheels racetrack...had one of the tyres slashed on the race car, (which was on the trailor) as we were driving out of the place one night The adventure park, as its called, leads onto this street where 'boy racers' park all along the road and race up and down, the police seem to just leave them to it, they watch as you drive past, i hate it.

  20. Yeah, but it was the fact he'd gone in this posh little sweet shop, one of those where the sweets are home-made and sold loose and he chose it for me. Its an old saying but it is the thought that counts! Plus i LOVE turkish delight! Aye, I was just kidding tbh, wish I could've got a price from Ladbroke's for your biting at that remark though That wasnt biting alex I was just explaining why a paltry sounding box of turkish was special to me!!
  21. When Leroy Rosenoir was our manager at Torquay a few seasons ago, we had Liam on loan. He was a very capable player, wouldnt be a bad signing, but i dont rekon he'd want to come to us anyway!!
