  1. Was that before or after they had lined up Souness as Ranieri's replacement?
  2. To be fair to Jenas, from what I've seen, he seems to have had a good season - unfortunately.
  3. My lasting memory of that game (a dour 1-1 draw) was the sorry sight of Amdy Faye playing as our attacking midfielder, and there were several moments of him running/strolling up the pitch towards the Fulham goal with the ball at his feet - it was so painfully obvious he had no clue what to do.
  4. Funny how West Ham can appoint a technical director who has never played football professionally and the press say nothing, yet when Wise was appointed they were calling it a shambolic decision that was made over Keegan's head. Not that I'm 100% convinced about Wise BTW, but once again it smacks of double standards.

  6. Only if the teams below us win their games, which I don't think is likelier, Gloombadil. All right, all right. I've just completed the BBC Predictor thing and I reckon six more points will see us safe. I have Bolton finishing 17th and Birmingham 18th BTW.
  7. I don't want to sound too gloomy, but I think we'll only manage a draw against Fulham. Which would put us right back into it.
  8. Hopefully he will continue in this vein until the end of the season... Martins had a better 80 minutes than Smith's last 30 games put together.
  9. I'll settle for a point. Three points against Fulham is still a must though and I'm not sure it will happen.
  10. No excuses now, if we don't win tonight, we won't beat Fulham either IMO.
  11. That's the measure of a sit down wiper. Filthy animals. That is the most disturbing thing I've read in ages!
  12. Thank fuck for the Pompey result. A point for Boro isn't too bad either when apparently they were the better side. We must pick up three points on Monday.
  13. I've heard of it, is it any good?
  14. He's played enough games up front and still not even got close to scoring, man. But even though I've never liked him as a player, I have to say Jonny is right when he says that Viduka deserves more criticism. Viduka put in some useful performances when he could be arsed though. I actually rather have moody or inconsistent players who at least occasionally give you value for money than players who get praise for "trying" or "caring". I agree completely, but talking about our current squad of players, I'd rather apply that rule to Smith vs Martins. Martins may be frustrating and brainless, but I'd least he's dangerous. Smith on the other hand is just a one-dimensional trier. Viduka is a different case in that he's talented and I'd prefer him to start ahead of both Smith and Martins, but the fact that he blatantly can't be arsed to declare himself fit makes him a leech.
