  1. I'm desperately trying to think of the last time I was positively excited about a signing we made. And I'm failing.
  2. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4307628562560793120# Send it to Hughton, you might get a call.
  3. Indeed the man is absolutely on fire. I do think his return to dominance is helped by all the issues Nadal has had mind. If Rafa had been 100% fit I'm not sure Federer would have got another look in. Not that I'm writing off Nadal, but I've always thought that he would have a relatively short shelf life as his game is so dependent on his physical form which not only is going to be difficult to maintain over the years but also likely to predispose to injury troubles as he has done over the last year. Federer's techniqe and game is so smooth he looks like he could hit those forehands forever. Agree with that. Nadal seems to be trying to change his game, he's lost weight and is trying a slightly different style, but it will be hard for him to get back to the form he showed in 2008. And don't forget that Federer was still suffering from the effects of a viral infection he had at the start of that year, I think people tend to forget that when they talk about his and Nadal's performances in 2008. Writing Nadal off now would be just as wrong as writing Federer off a year ago, but I reckon Murray and Del Potro will be more of a danger this year. If Federer keeps fit though there is no reason why he can't go on and win another 3-4 majors.
  4. I love it how everyone wrote Federer off just a year ago, and look where he is now, better than ever.
  5. No doubt the people who still rate Smith as a player will like him even more for that.
  6. They turn those scans around pretty quickly these days. That's what I thought.
  7. According to Louise Taylor over at the Guardian website, Enrique's injury is just a 'pull'.
  8. How the hell did our lead disappear so quickly? It seems only a couple of weeks ago that we were 12 points clear!
  9. I wasn't too keen on Harewood, but what a fucking joke this transfer window is turning out to be - once again. A few days left, with a mounting injury list and suspensions and once again we're watching other clubs strengthen their squads while we do nothing.
  10. What Monday's game showed is that Smith, for all the praise he's been getting this season, is useless when he's up against players who can actually pass the ball. If we get promoted and start next season with Smith (and Nolan) as our first-choice midfielders, we might as well not bother.
  11. Only 2 points ahead of Forest now. I know we have two games in hand, but still.

  13. Savage comes across as a complete tool in that interview. It's a shame the journalist didn't tell him to shut the fuck up. to be fair, after he's made his point he does start to revert to form (ie. a complete cunt) but still, journalists get on my tits so anyone who calls one of the cunts on some shit they've been spotting is spot on Basically what he's saying is that the local radio station is not allowed to criticise the football club, which is ridiculous. If the journalist got wind of players being unhappy with the coaching team, he's got every right to go public with it, it's his job.

  15. Maybe. The reason why they don't make the truth public is obvious to anyone with half a brain that understands how security works Sadly, this board has too many muslim sympathisers and leftie brainwashed do gooders to get it....... So you're saying that assuming Bin Laden was really dead and the Americans were lying about it (which I don't think is the case), that's OK because people should really be kept in the dark about it?
  16. 10 mins of added-on time surely?
