Anyone been? I've just come back from a few days' stay - and what a great place it is! So much history and architecture, and so many great little restaurants, cafés and bars. And the best sausages I've ever had. The people are extremly friendly too. Well worth a visit! Back at work now though. So how did we do at the weekend?
  2. Not even for exiles - I didn't renew my subscription because most matches are on the telly in the pub, and if they aren't, you can always find a decent live video stream on the intraweb. The commentators may be Chinese, but it's still better than having to listen to Mick Lowes.
  3. And a powerful striker who will score goals.
  4. There's a great piece on Paul McGrath, the former Man Utd player, in today's Guardian about his battle with alcohol. Very good read. http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/sto...1929825,00.html
  5. I wouldn't. I'd rather spend the £5m or whatever on defenders. Trust Shepherd to at least try to get Beckham though - trophysigningtastic.
  6. 5th best club, England internationals.
  7. I've only just seen this - great article.
  8. That interview is pathetic. "All this talk about 'crisis' and 'Shepherd must go, Roeder must go' is absolutely rubbish. Don't forget, when Roeder took over in February from Souness, the club was heading into the Championship!" And where exactly does he think we are heading now?
  9. Probably about that, less midweek. You know, apart from the fact it would financially ruin the club, I wouldn't mind a spell in the Championship. I'd rather we won games at that level than lose like we are at the moment. The club would go to the wall though, and we'd become another Sunderland/Sheff Wed/Leeds. That'll definitely end up as one of Leazes's sigs if he reads this. ars tbqf And rightly so. Stupid suggestion IMHO. ars = And rightly so tttt That's one abbreviation I didn't know.

  11. Hopefully our current position in the league and general shitness on the pitch will cause Fat Fred to panic and sell his shares.
  12. Le Sib seems to be injured, Shola preparing to come on.

OMG, is it Bernie Slaven? Cringe-tastic.
  14. I can see him ending up a free agent as I don't think anyone rates him He will be very good wages as well.
  15. Newcastle United: Steve Harper, Stephen Carr, Steven Taylor, Craig Moore, Peter Ramage, James Milner, Scott Parker, Nicky Butt, Damien Duff, Antoine Sibierski, Obafemi Martins Subs: Charles N'Zogbia, Giuseppe Rossi, Titus Bramble, Shola Ameobi, Pavel Srnicek What the hell is wrong with Bernard?
  16. If we lose again today, it really will be the beginning of a relegation struggle.
  17. It's his face, man, I can't help myself! And I'm a bit prone to that sort of thing anyway... His face is bad but his hunchy posture and bizzare crab like walk get me He really does look like a crab when he moves around the pitch. ramage would have struggled in ossie ardiles' squad never mind what we aspire to nowadays. I don't disagree, but Bramble still walks like a crab.
  18. NUFC.com are again singling Milner out for praise - they are doing it all the time. Why? Yes, he works hard, but there is just no end-product at all.
