3. This gets better by the minute, there is talk of Ameobi going there.... http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=200...s&anchor=dasftb
4. To be fair people said the same about Van Bommell when we played PSV with many going on to say he wasn`t good enough for us. Since then hes moved onto Barcelona, not a bad move for someone not good enough to get a game for us.
5. Jennifer Connelly could by the sounds of things...
6. By Alan Shearer Newcastle striker and BBC Sport columnist You do not become a bad team overnight and just because England lost a friendly 4-1 in Denmark on Wednesday does not mean suddenly they cannot play football. The players will know that better than anyone. It was a poor performance and a poor result but it is gone and they will just try and forget about it. When you hurt good players, when they are wounded, more often than not they come back stronger and there is no reason why they will not do that against Wales next month. I was a bit mystified Jermain Defoe only got 45 minutes - I'd have been looking for a whole game from him In fact, I am sure the players and Sven-Goran Eriksson are glad they have got such a poor display out of their system before the real business of World Cup qualifiers starts again. They will all be disappointed but they will also know in the back of their minds that they have got it out of the way now. Eriksson has not got the best record in friendlies, that is there for everyone to see, but he always produces in the qualifiers and that is what counts. I do not know what the mentality is to friendlies in this England set-up but they are not proper games when you are changing five or six people around every time. There is a definite argument for just having a training camp instead of playing a game at all but I am sure the manager would disagree. I was a bit mystified with how Jermain Defoe was handled to be honest. I am sure he was disappointed he only played for one half, but I guess you would have to ask the manager why that happened. If I was to play Defoe I would have been looking for 90 minutes from him, especially as he is probably going to start up front with Wayne Rooney for the Wales game. And my Newcastle team-mate Jermaine Jenas only got six minutes - he has picked up another cap, but he is not going to learn much from it, especially when his team are 3-0 down. The overriding plus point on a disappointing night was the performance of young Rooney. He is becoming massively important to England now, even at his age. He is a fantastic player and there will be a lot of hopes riding on his shoulders in the World Cup. I thought he took his goal really well and he was by far England's best player in Copenhagen. It is a great sign for him that the other players always look to him for a pass but it's not surprising - he is already a great player and the scary thing is he can get better. He can be as good as he wants to be. There is a lot of expectation on him but I do not think it bothers him, I think he gets better the more pressure is put on him, that is the way he seems to play. He has had enough pressure with what he has been through in his three years in football and he has handled it very well so I do not think that will be a problem at all.
7. Season 3 starts in the states next month, no idea yet as to when we will be getting it.
8. Why would you want him, when you the defensive dinamo Bramble to come back. 14694 Bramble was outstanding for the majority of last season, we were gutted when he got injured.
9. Blackburn Rovers and Wales have suffered a major injury blow with the news that Craig Bellamy may be sidelined for up to four weeks with a thigh injury. Bellamy has struggled with an ankle complaint for the last month and managed only 120 minutes of Blackburn's pre-season preparations but did start Rovers' opener at West Ham last Saturday. The 26-year-old was forced to withdraw from the Wales squad to face Slovenia earlier this week with the thigh problem and now Rovers manager Mark Hughes has expressed his concern. He told Sky Sports News: "We lost Craig during the week, which is a big blow for us. "He's had an initial scan when he first came back from international duty and we've had a look at that. "It was then a case of allowing the injury to settle down for 48 hours before having a more comprehensive scan and that is booked in for tomorrow. "It is difficult to say how long he will be out - it is up to the medical people to assess the extent of the problem." Bellamy may now miss England's visit to Cardiff on September 3 and both Wales manager John Toshack and Mark Hughes will be anxiously awaiting the results of Friday's scan.
10. BOYHOOD West Ham fan Lee Bowyer is hoping to burst the Hammers' bubble this weekend when the Premiership newcomers come to Gallowgate. Bowyer, who had a six-month spell with the Upton Park outfit prior to making the move to St. James' Park in the summer of 2003, admits he still has a fondness for London's East End club - but knows there is no room for sentiment on Saturday. Lee, whose West Ham debut actually came in a 2-2 draw against Newcastle in January 2003, told nufc.co.uk: "I love West Ham, I supported them as a kid and I still support them now. "It's going to be hard for us at the weekend. "They came from behind on Saturday against Blackburn. They showed a lot of character and ended up winning comfortably. "It's going to be a tough game. I know Alan Pardew personally, he'll have them working hard and putting us under a lot of pressure. "They deserve to be in the Premier League. They should be in there year in, year out. "The supporters are really good down there as well, I hope they stay up this season and if they play like they did last Saturday I think they will. "They'll come up here without any fear. They have a lot of young lads, and they all work for each other. "They're keen to do well, and they'll still be on a high after coming up through the play-offs." Bowyer took plenty of positives from the opening game of the season at Arsenal - despite the 2-0 defeat - but he knows The Magpies need to get points on the board this weekend. He added: "I think we showed a good togetherness at Arsenal. "I think everyone worked exceptionally hard for each other and it was disappointing in the end that a few decisions went against us and cost us the game. "We walked out of Highbury with our heads held high, and we can't wait for Saturday now. "We need to be winning games. No disrespect, but we should be beating teams like West Ham at home. "Our fans were great at the weekend at Highbury. I had friends and family down there and they said they were unbelievable. "They clapped us off at the end even though we did lose the game, and hopefully we can give them something to cheer about on Saturday."
11. Newcastle United are the latest club to be linked with an interest in Wolfsburg's Argentine international Andres D'Alessandro. As Newcastle boss Graeme Souness steps up his search for fresh talent, it has been reported that scouts from St James Park took a look at the gifted playmaker last week. A party from the Premiership outfit travelled to Borussia Monchengladbach, where they looked at D'Alessandro as Wolves earned a 1-1 draw on their travels. The 24-year-old midfielder is reportedly keen for a new challenge and this news has alerted Souness to his possible availability. Earlier this summer the former River Plate schemer threatened not to return to Wolfsburg and new coach Holger Fach needed to fly to Buenos Aires in order to bring him back to Germany. Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna were the first club to register their interest, but failed to agree a deal, as Wolves are unwilling to let their €9.5 million recruit leave for a sum below what they paid. Tottenham have previously been mentioned as suitors, but have reportedly balked at an asking price believed to be in the region of €15 million. Speculation in the German press has suggested that Newcastle's unsettled Portuguese midfielder Hugo Viana could be used as a potential make-weight in the deal. Whilst Newcastle are keen to improve all areas of their squad after a summer that has seen several exits, it seems likely that a move for a striker - not a midfielder - will be top of Souness' agenda for the moment
12. Diet coke drinkers at MacDonald's - You fat cunt - why do you order a Big Mac, large fries and then a diet coke? Do you think that after devouring a burger containing a level of fat comparable to the blubber on whales and fries with so much salt on them that it would kill 1000 slugs, by drinking coke you will remain skinny due to marginally reduced calories? U FAT STUPID CUNT. You were a fat cunt when you walked in, a fat cunt while you ordered, and you will walk out a fat cunt. Fat fucking cunts.
13. Hugo Viana is facing up to the prospect of four months in the first-team wilderness after failing to secure a move away from Newcastle this summer. The Portuguese international, on national team duty against Egypt in the Azores last night, has spent the summer touting his talents to clubs across the continent. But Viana, who extended his contract with United 12 months ago, has been left in no doubt that his lucrative deal with the Magpies has become increasingly detrimental to a faltering career. And the midfielder must accept that a substantial pay cut is the only way out of a situation which is threatening his involvement in next summer's World Cup. Viana already faces an uncomfortable return to Tyneside tomorrow after Newcastle chairman Freddie Shepherd issued his latest order for the 22-year-old to report back to St James's Park. But the former European Young Player of the Year knows all that awaits him when he walks through the club's Benton training ground doors is a programme of reserve team football and the hope that January's transfer window offers opportunities anew. Graeme Souness has shown no signs of embracing the potential of one of Sir Bobby Robson's most significant signings - the Scot proved on Sunday that he has forged an effective midfield unit even if his team lacks strength elsewhere. And it would hardly send out the right message to those players charged with improving United's Premiership position if a player absent for the majority of the summer was handed a key role. Shepherd, taking valuable time out from round-the-clock talks to sign new players, has done all he can to negotiate a suitable deal on Viana's behalf but even Newcastle's chairman has all but given up hope of a successful outcome before August 31. The Magpies have paid out hundreds of thousands of pounds in wages to the former Sporting Lisbon playmaker this summer - following his return from a successful loan spell in the Portuguese capital. And that drain on resources is a source of some irritation within the corridors of St James's Park. Viana, for his part, does not want to be perceived as a player happy to take his money and contribute nothing in return. He would love to ease United's financial burden but both he and Shepherd are suffering from a generous deal which no longer reflects Viana's true value in an increasingly competitive European transfer market. Newcastle are already resigned to taking a substantial financial hit on the £8.5m fee paid out to Sporting in 2002. Now United face the uncomfortable prospect of continuing to honour the contract of a player deemed surplus to requirements on Tyneside and elsewhere. On a brighter note the decision to replace controversial referee Barry Knight with Dermot Gallagher ahead of Saturday's fixture at St James's Park must be welcomed.

15. Aye, Jill would be delighted about that! 14312 Thrilled. I wouldn't mind a change of venue, but certainly not Lloyds.. or anywhere in the Gate for that matter. 14425 No even Mood?
16. Striker Fredi Kanoute insists he has committed himself to Spanish outfit Sevilla and is looking forward to playing in the Spanish league. Sevilla claimed to have secured the Mali international on a four-year deal from Tottenham on Wednesday, but reports then emerged that Newcastle were staging a last-ditch bid to hijack the deal. Spurs insist Kanoute has still to pass a medical before sealing his switch to Spain, but the former West Ham man believes the deal is done and feels he will settle well in La Primera. "I'm very happy to have signed a four-year deal with Sevilla," he stated. "I've always liked the Spanish league and I think the style of game will suit me." Newcastle have been desperately chasing a striker with the likes of Mark Viduka, Michael Owen, Nicolas Anelka and Luis Boa Morte all having been linked with a move to St James' Park. Kanoute was also in the frame, but it looks like Sevilla have now secured the 27-year-old having agreed a £4.4 million fee with Spurs.
17. NEWCASTLE United have been left sweating on the fitness of new midfield star Emre after he limped out of Turkey's 3-1 friendly defeat against Bulgaria last night. The 24-year-old lasted only 26 minutes in Sofia before being substituted with what appeared to be a hamstring problem. Emre is due back on Tyneside later today, and his condition will be assessed then before the Magpies know for certain if he is available or not for Saturday's opening Premiership home game against West Ham United. Assistant manager Alan Murray told nufc.co.uk: "As far as we understand, he's had a problem. "We've not had a chance to assess him yet as he's travelling back from Bulgaria, but we'll have him looked at straight away once he returns. "That's the downside of these games, and you are always frightened something like this happens. "He's a very important player for us and has been looking sharp. We've been looking forward to him having an extended run in the team, but we'll have to wait and see how he is. "The early reports are not good, but we'd prefer to wait and assess him ourselves. We won't rule him out 100 per cent just yet." The news is certain to go down badly with manager Graeme Souness, who earlier this week told Newcastle World TV that he questioned the wisdom of international friendlies so early in the season. Elsewhere, Jermaine Jenas was a late substitute for an England side that crashed to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Denmark in Copenhagen. The Magpie star replaced Steven Gerrard after 83 minutes of a contest in which former Toon striker Jon Dahl Tomasson netted for the hosts. Wayne Rooney grabbed a late consolation for Sven-Goran Eriksson's team. Shay Given and Stephen Carr both tasted defeat too after featuring for a Republic of Ireland side beaten 2-1 by Italy in Dublin. But Jean Alain Boumsong and France fared better with a 3-0 win over the Ivory Coast in Montpellier. The United defender played the full 90 minutes against opponents who included Chelsea's Didier Drogba in attack. Hugo Viana figured for 62 minutes of Portugal's 2-0 friendly win over Egypt in Ponta Delgada, Azores
18. Aston Villa are being linked with a shock move for Juventus forward Fabrizio Miccoli. Reports emanating from Italy claim that Villa and Benfica are battling it out for the Italian international. Juventus are trying to offload Miccoli as they look to raise some funds following the capture of Patrick Vieira. The Bianconeri are known to not have too much cash to spend this summer and they are exploring ways to bring in some money. Miccoli is well down the pecking order at Stadio Delle Alpi and he has been informed he is not part of Fabio Capello's long-term plans. The news has alerted a number of clubs to Miccoli's possible availability and Villa are thought to have registered an interest in the talented forward. Juventus general director Luciano Moggi has claimed Villa and Benfica have expressed an interest in signing Miccoli. "We need to sell a striker and that would be Miccoli," said Moggi. "In a couple of days time we will know whether he will go to Benfica or Aston Villa. "But there is no rush because we could hold on to him until January." Meanwhile, another unsettled Juventus star Igor Tudor insists he will only leave if he receives the right offer. The Croatian international has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Italian champions. A number of clubs including West Brom have been linked with Tudor, but the player insists he will only move to the right club. "If something attracts me I will go, but otherwise I will go where I say," said Tudor.
