  1. Skysports.com understands Valencia striker Nikola Zigic would be interested in a move to Newcastle. Reports have linked Zigic with a possible summer switch to Tyneside in a swap deal, with Magpies full-back Jose Enrique going to Valencia. Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan is believed to be in the market for striking reinforcements, with doubts continuing to surround the future of Michael Owen and the news that both Obafemi Martins and Mark Viduka are set to miss the start of next season through injury. Zigic's future at Valencia looks uncertain with the giant striker failing to make an impact at La Mestalla last season. The Serbian international has been continually linked with a move to England and the player's agent, Milan Calasan, says the big target-man would welcome a move to St James' Park. "Yes Nikola would be interested in a move to Newcastle as he has always wanted to play in England," Calasan told skysports.com. "There are many clubs interested in Nikola including some from Italy, but we are waiting to see what Valencia want to do. "We do not know if Valencia want to keep him or sell him."

  4. Who does he play for? Overrated....I have never heard of him.
  5. Hmm, I think I'll send the case too. Im not sure how much people are going to pay and what to put as start price/postage though F*ck sake Tom... Go on e-bay and look up the items you are selling. That will give you an idea what others are charging and you can also look at the auctions that have ended for the same items giving you an idea of how much they go for on average. However there is very little to be made selling CDs online now, what with people downloading etc I would be surprised if you got anymore than a couple of quid for some of those and it can be more hassle than its worth especially if you have e-bay fees/paypal fees on top of that.
  6. Get a CD envelope Open CD envelope Insert the CD into the envelope Seal Envelope Write address for person who has purchased on it. Add enough stamps to cover postage - If unsure check with the Local Post Office where they will weight, tell you the cost and charge you the amount (If you need to know how to pay someone at the Post Office I suggest starting another thread Post the envelope in a post box or at your local Post Office
  7. I'm saying fuck all me like Whilst I would be lying if I said I didn't have concerns there may still just be the possibility that we are actively working behind the scenes but are keeping it all hush hush. Look at both the Enrique and Emre deals the media had no idea of it over here until the news had broken in Spain and Turkey. As for the ambition I am not defending the club as I have no idea just what the plans are but playing Devils Advocate if we had managed to secure the signings of Woodgate and Modric and were pursuing the likes of Gomis and Turan would we still have the same concerns. Personally I have no clue whats going on and just hope it all ends up ok...
  8. I'm over the moon the new owners have made taking your kids to the match cheaper and easier. I don't want a team full of Geordies, but i want stands full of Geordies, and if you price the kids out of it, they'll more likely end up a Man U fan than a Newcastle fan if they can only see either on TV. Well they aren't getting my seat As opposed to corporate season tickets that go to a different employee every week who're only there for the freebie. Or tourists coming to see Owen etc. Aye I know I was only messing. I think its a good idea and if it means that the stadium is full of supporters who want to be there rather than some of those who think they are at a pantomime I am all for it.

  11. OBAFEMI Martins could miss Newcastle United’s pre-season preparations with the ankle injury which forced him to withdraw from Nigeria’s friendly international against Austria last week. Martins did not play in United’s final game of the season, the 3-1 defeat by Everton, because of the injury and there are fears the problem is more serious than initially thought. According to Nigeria national coach Shaibu Amodu, Martins has been told by doctors he will be sidelined for the next two months, which would mean the striker will be forced to sit out the bulk of United’s pre-season programme. Newcastle’s players are expected to return to training on July 7, but it could be another month after that before Martins is able to train properly, let alone play a game. Amodu said: “Obafemi said he had a scan on his ankle and the doctors said he’d be out for eight weeks. That was why he did not play against Austria.” Martins picked up a niggling ankle injury while playing for Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations at the start of the year and missed all of Newcastle’s February fixtures as a result. It is not known whether this latest problem is linked, but it is not thought the 23-year-old will need an operation. Nevertheless, it is still bad news for United manager Kevin Keegan as it will cast serious doubts about Martins’ ability to start the Premier League season as he will be so short of match fitness. With Mark Viduka already expected to miss the start of the new campaign with an Achilles injury and Shola Ameobi set to leave the club after his wedding later this month, Newcastle’s attacking resources are already in danger of being stretched. However, that could be resolved by the arrival of England international Peter Crouch from Liverpool. The gangly striker is expected to leave Anfield this summer as he is frustrated by Rafael Benitez’ squad rotation policy and Newcastle are one of a number of clubs monitoring the situation. Should United sign Crouch, it would almost certainly mean the end of Alan Smith’s Newcastle career. The former Manchester United forward only moved to Newcastle last summer because he wanted to start more games in the Premier League, but he is no longer guaranteed a place in the side and would see the arrival of Crouch as another setback as he tries to rebuild his reputation after a poor first year on Tyneside. Keegan is also keen on Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise, although executive director (football) Dennis Wise is thought to prefer the recruitment of younger and cheaper players. However, with Emre set to complete a £3m move back to his homeland with Fenerbahçe this week, Keegan has removed one of the highest earners from the wage bill – the Turkish midfielder was paid £55,000 a week on Tyneside – and will hope that means he can invest the money quickly in Riise. Although Jose Enrique’s form at the end of last season was encouraging, Keegan does not have another left-back on the books and believes Riise’s experience will help in the Spaniard’s own development. The Norwegian international has played almost 250 games for Liverpool, but he is still only 27 and would be an impressive signing at St James’s Park given his Champions League pedigree. Although the Magpies continue to be linked with a wonderful array of players on the Continent – Almeria’s Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo the latest over the weekend – Keegan would prefer to sign players with previous experience of playing in English football. Meanwhile, United defender Abdoulaye Faye was on the scoresheet as Senegal got their 2010 World Cup campaign off to a winning start against Algeria on Saturday. Faye scored the only goal of the game, which doubled as a qualifier for the next African Cup of Nations, heading home a second-half corner from close range.

  16. EVERTON have emerged as the latest club interested in James Milner, raising the possibility of an auction for the England Under-21 winger. The Yorkshireman has been one of the Magpies’ most consistent performers in recent seasons but with manager Kevin Keegan under pressure to cut his wage bill this summer, the former Leeds United player could be sacrificed. Unfortunately for Milner, his last Newcastle appearance coincided with the nadir of their season under Keegan. He broke his foot in the 3-0 defeat at Liverpool, the last game before results finally picked up. It was followed by a seven-match unbeaten run which featured all four of the wins Newcastle have managed during Keegan’s second spell as manager. The drastic improvement was based around an extremely settled side in a winger-less 4-3-1-2 formation. When Keegan switched back to 4-4-2, his side began losing again. That could make Milner, who missed the final nine games as he recovered from injury, surplus to requirements. Everton are interested in the 22-year-old and with Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Liverpool also keeping tabs, that could help push the price beyond the £5m Newcastle are said to want for Milner. Toffees manager David Moyes is in the market for a right-sided midfielder and although there is uncertainty over Mikel Arteta’s future, they will not be deterred even if the Spaniard keeps his word and rejects the possibility of a return to his homeland. With another Uefa Cup campaign on the horizon and his team having faded badly in the last part of 2007-08, Moyes is anxious to have more options at his disposal next season and Milner’s versatility and work ethic make him the sort of player the Scot likes. Everton appear to be the best option available to Milner as he tries to push his claims for a first international cap. Middlesbrough would represent a step down from Newcastle, who seem to have missed out on Richard Dunne, the Irishman now on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez’s fondness for squad rotation and the number of players he has available might not make joining the Reds a great career move. Aston Villa, where Milner spent a season-long loan in 2005-06, have been repeatedly linked with a move but sources in the west Midlands suggest their interest is not as strong as has been suggested. Milner was minutes from joining Villa in 2006 until he was called back to Tyneside when Newcastle failed to sign Mark Viduka. But Milner’s former Leeds boss David O’Leary was the manager at Villa Park then. O’Neill would be interested were the player available at the right price, but he is not high on a shopping list where other positions – notably goalkeeper – are regarded as higher priorities. Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni believes United keeper Shay Given could play into his 40s if he wishes. The 32-year-old’s last two seasons have been disrupted by persistent groin injuries but his international manager does not believe time is running out on Given’s career. “Goalkeepers are lucky, because they can play until they are 40,” he noted. “It is a position in which it is very important to have experience. “Shay Given has played very many games, and it is a pity he is injured, but in two or three months he will come back.”
