Leazes has a very valid point about the agent fees and wages being part of £23m income gained from transfers. It's the one thing that will always grate on me with these "chumps". No other club manages their fiscal policy like this in the top flight or ever has. You could put an argument up for agents fees, but wages? Perch was worse in the Norwich game. If Andy Carroll wasn't a complete and utter spazz it would have been a different story for old Perchaldildho - the way Carroll went by him like he wasn't there was embarrassing. He went on to play well in the rest of the game, but as a centre back all it takes is one moment, one lapse in concentration, one bad decision to turn a match. Imagine Carroll had scored, it could have been a completely different match. The amount of times that happens to Rio and Terry and they get away with it is unbelievable. Perch was outstanding I say that as someone who thought he was one of our worst ever buys up there with your Darren Bradshaw's and your Wayne Quinn's. I've seen Carroll give Terry a tougher time on numerous occasions. Perch has been very good mate, it seems almost everybody is surprised at how well he has played. Andy Carroll though, to be fair, seems to me has been very unmotivated since his transfer. Doesn't say much for him as a professional I suppose, but he's a shadow of the player he was for us in his last 18 months.

it would be canny if Marveaux can come in and be a quality player in the wide right or left position, which means the club can concentrate on signing a quality left back, central defender and a striker. We have Ben Arfa and Jonas, but there is nothing wrong with strength in depth, especially if you want to progress and we qualify for europe, in fact it's essential.

Interesting point there is research on it somewhere that wearing the alternate kit (diff colours etc) has a psychological effect when picking out your own players. It's another tiny advantage home teams get as well as being in front of their own crowd and so on...Think they found bold bright colours are better for team sports. read the link I've posted mate. It explains all of this.
