  1. I know it's probably true that a number of Labour MPs would be happy to lose an election to get rid of Corbyn but even if these "leave" voters fall into that category which I'm not sure is a direct cirreleation, they must surely see how shit this deal is for their constituents. I understand the desperation to "get it done" but at the cost of a Johnson government? They have to ask themselves what the fuck they are there for.
  2. Straight from the Republican party playbook. I suggested that in the US someone like Gates or Buffet should fuck it over by paying for shit loads of IDs for those without - let's see what forms of IDs the bastards come up with as acceptable and then see if it's possible.
  3. I'd add that my mate who was going to be a deputy at Westoe before the strike started moved to Nissan Yamoto post redundancy and is now an engineering supervisor which suggests of course there are "proper jobs" for those who want them.
  4. I'd guess that simple assembly line work isn;t as skilled as being a welder in a shipyard or a leccy down the pit but fuck knows what they meant really.
  5. Think I posted it at the time but there was a guardian vid of some mackems saying they wanted "proper jobs" like mining and shipbuilding rather than the shit at Nissan - absolutely blind to the world. It was a shame that Thatcher put real effort into getting Nissan there but left the rest of industrial areas to rot - I mean that in the sense there should have been multiple "Nissans".
  6. I remember the day after the vote when people at work were asking me how the North could.vote leave when it was obvious it would fuck the economy - I replied that you can't frighten people who are generally fucked with more hardship. Polls since suggest a shit load of leave voters didn't and don't care about economic effects as long as the infamous control is regained. Sunderland /Nissan is going to be the ultimate comeuppance of that view.
  7. Dementia and cancer are the main weapons in that war.
  8. Sod the Ukraine thing - just get him on the "unfit" clause in the 25th amendment.

    Yes Gemmill...

I watched a documentary on sky arts about Cream and he didn't come across well on that either - seemed to hate Jack Bruce.
  10. They're going to send a letter asking for an extension then send another the next day rescinding it aren't they?
  11. True. I find it funny how Clarke is being put forward as this anyone but Corbyn fantasy pm by the lib dems when he voted for May's deal and advocates a soft Brexit.
  12. Can't be arsed to answer the questions but thanks for using the Manchester in your name and the United in ours.
  13. Anyone else think he's relying on that Hungarian cunt vetoing the extension?
  14. All of those polls apart from one have don't knows who cover the difference margin - Banks and the rest would wet their lips at that. As for leading the campaign, someone who could articulate the benefits rather than just negging the other side would be a start.
  15. Same plan with a sharpie dick outcrop a la Trump.
  16. Austerity didn't cause the south East outside London to vote leave. That's just pure little englander nostalgia and racism.
  17. Would love to know what the other side to him being a racist cunt is.
  18. They lost at least one if not more of their lgbqt committee's chairs due to one of them being an out and out homophobe.
  19. Taking in those tory rebels who are in no way proper liberals has pissed off a hell of a lot of her members as well.
  20. She specifically criticised Johnson for increasing spending and used the phrase "tough choices" - she's a huge fan of austerity.
  21. The Wonderstuff were canny but I haven't listened to them recently to change that nostalgic view one way or another.
  22. I think she as much as did that with the look she gave him as he walked past her.
  23. I think the libs tacitly hoped/hope to have no deal versus remain to load the vote - I don't think that's fair really. As I said not much discussion has been had about another leave victory.
  24. My understanding was that the transition allowed a negotiation on all elements of a future relationship - as I said I may be wrong. I think Swinson muddyed the water with the revoke without a vote thing - they still won't answer what they want the other option in a vote to be and what they'd do if leave won - I think having a reasonable alternative to cover the latter outcome is sensible but again you'd have to explain this well.
