I'm glad he survived but many people don't every day. Of course he's just thinking of himself which is fair enough and perfectly natural - I just wished he spared a thought for those others.

Choice versus birth trait. Not knocking his right to faith - just his insensitivity. I know he'll believe his prayer pov without thinking about others but I don't see why I should ignore it. My Dad died of a heart attack - his "logic" suggests either it was my fault for not praying or his God decided my Dad should die - even without believing in the God I think its a despicable viewpoint typical of a "loving" religion.

I still want to know what Muamba thinks the bloke next to him in the hospital who died did wrong that made God not protect him. (Bloke used for illustration purposes only)

It was 77 - the only combination of results that would relegate them was a loss for them and a draw bewtween Coventry and Bristol City. Of course the "legend" fails to mention that they did their part in it by losing 2-0 to Everton. Like all stories like that it's become mythical over the years - it did kick off 10 minutes late I think but they've added the two teams passing to each other and shit like that. Of course no Mackems would have been there and there wouldn't have been any cameras so its only reported hearsay. I would normally have a soft spot for Coventry as a result of this hatred but I can't stand Jimmy Hill either.

One of Pardew's main tenets seems to be "settling" for a lead and trying to see it out - I think at our current "level" (even if we finish third) it's not a bad approach. I think if we do continue to progress, then we can think about being more ruthless when the opportunity arises.

Don't like Southampton but great start in hopefully confirming the initial failure I want to see.

Knock up a letter requesting a 300k mortgage at 0.5% fixed for 10 years and see if you can wing it.

I think the use of gay to mean lame in a sort of half-arsed way (no pun intended) shows a lot of progress to when I was younger and "puff" was very derogatory in a lot more nasty way. I don't agree with whoever said campaigners for gay rights are too "uppity" either - I used to think that about Tactchell but having read a few of his pieces over the last couple of years I think he speaks a lot of sense (especially against the religious bigots) - and I think that cunt Simon Hughes should have been banished from public life for the shite he ran against Tatchell even if he hadn't turned out to be gay himself.

Placed an order with Amazon today but when I got the dispatch email I found they're sending it with DPD so I phoned to cancel it - quite amusing trying to explain to a Yank why. I told them last time not to send anything with them but they can't do it unfortunately. It was too late to cancel so I asked her to email them to leave it in my garage but told her if they don't do that I won't be having it redelivered or collected so they'll have to return it then.

love seeing Spaniards whinging about cheating though.

Know what you mean about the 70s - Bumped into him on a couple of European trips - I thought of it as him being an extra in The Likely Lads

Started poorly and was obviously miserable. Then he started to play well and Alan Oliver dragged up some quotes of his which he hadn't used from months previously when he was misearble saying he wanted to move. Bit of a shame as he went downhill from there. Oliver once again proving he was a shit-stirring prick as well.

Had a decent game at Arsenal once (0-0) and was on the receiving end of one of the worst tackles I've ever seen by Bergkamp.

Just opened my first pay slip of the new tax year - net pay down by £10 (don't ask me how) - Tory Cunts.

Way to miss the point - how did Forest win the league in 77? Why do you expect to better 6 teams with higher incomes?
-
so, as I have asked you, what will they do to consolidate it and "make progress" or qualify for europe rather more often than once every 5 years, with the 14th biggest revenues in football ? Thats assuming they still have the 14th biggest revenues in football ? I'll ask again - if income/revenue is the only measure of ambition and expected level of success, why do you expect us to compete with six clubs whose income is so much higher than ours? I think we can based on decent management in the same way in the past teams like Forest took on the big boys of the time but I realise its harder now.
-
You constantly equate revenues and income with expected level yet when its clearly pointed out that 6 or 7 clubs have much higher incomes than us you dismiss it and demand we try and finish above them - which way do you want it?
-
who mentioned Stoke ? First year back you complete and utter imbecile - another example of your cherry picking cuntishness and you wonder why people think you aren't worth bothering with. Her's an idea - go and look up "context" and then fuck off.
-
Think he meant Everton and Liv. it escapes the attention of the self proclaimed geniuses on here, that Stoke, Bolton and Blackburn have all also qualified briefly for europe in recent years.... Don;t waste your breath on them Parky, bro. You mean like us once in 3 years after Robson left and that was via the intertoto?
-
yeh but next year when the flash is over, and we are down there with those clubs who'll be joyously telling us he's right?
-
Need a direct line to Sky: Neville (after showing good examples) - "Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Messi - are they cheats?" Yes you stupid cunt.
-
Well one precedent would be not qualifying for Europe in 94/95 after doing so the previous year.
-
What a pisser it would be if we did finish fourth but Chelsea win the CL so we have to settle for the Europa.
-
Would have felt the same if it was the other way round but seeing Redknapp's face is quite pleasing. I know the general opinion is that they'll still be desperate to get 4th when they play us, but I think they'll have an eye on the final which might help us.
