  1. The membership is and some of the unions but surprise, surprise the MPs are dead against it so when Starmer changes the rules to protect his own position, he'll ensure PR is off the table.
  2. I agree but I don't think there's a game Corbyn could have played that would have got them on side - he had his failings but too many people decided they couldn't allow any kind of serious change to this country.
  3. Starmer has been cosying up to the press recently but should learn from the Curry thing that they'll turn on him in an instant.
  4. It's the tour de France soon - drug cheat post from beyond the grave incoming.
  5. Not bad - just not as fantastic as hoped and suggestive of a hung parliament in line with polling. I would be very surprised if Labour win a majority at the next election but they need to come closer to that than this and some of the narrower polls suggest - I noted someone posted the one with a 12 pont lead but not the one where it had narrowed to two. Take the Johnson factor out and I'm worried.
  6. I was speaking figuratively about the people around him who had no interest in the unions other than finance and conference votes.
  7. When they announced the Newcastle result for the EU referendum, even though remain won, the margin suggested it was time to worry. You can call me negative if you like but Wakefield looks the same to me - as suggested by Gemmill's post above.
  8. As I said the precedent for Starmer undoing nothing is the fucking nothing Blair undid. "Nobody needs unions in the 21st century" said the neoliberal scum. Well guess what? By the way "massive vote in favour of rejoining" - think a-fucking-gain: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_on_the_United_Kingdom_rejoining_the_European_Union_(2020–present)
  9. Yup, there my be a lot of "Boris" fans but polling shows a lot of people hate him as well. It's hard to pick a "better" option though.
  10. I suppose it depends on whether the economy grows to support more commuters to make up for it but I agree they should reconsider "old normal" projects including skyscrapers etc as well as transport.
  11. The determination to bring that 20% fall in passenger numbers back in the face of more home working is a bit desperate mind.
  12. Started watching The Boys - canny so far - simple idea of superheroes being cunts but done really well. (Yes I know it's a fucking comic Fish).
  13. You could all have had it asymptomatically before widespread LFTs were available of course.
  14. As I keep saying they won't do anything in power that threatens that power. Reversing withdrawal from the HRA, the protest bill, any thought of even discussing the SM or CU? - all completely unacceptable to the press and his gammon focus groups so absolutely no chance of them happening. Just like Blair - a few half-decent tinkerings mixed with cuntishness like ATOS is the best we're now allowed - any thought of true change has been excluded from even being discussed as the migration of wealth from poor to rich continues. That's the future.
  15. Going by January, Botman was keen but Lille were twats - sounds like that's sort of the same with some interference from Milan. However in both windows it looks like Ekitike is reluctant to come so I'd shed fuck all tears if we move on - I know it's more complicated in the modern game but there has to be some desire somewhere or you just end up with another fucking Owen.
  16. Also comments about how the people who can't work from home are affected worst and are likely to be lower paid workers - you mean those you threw under the covid bus by not supporting self-isolation, you tory cunts?
  17. It means they're an industrial metal band from Germany. I saw them fill what is now the Excel exhibition centre about 20 years ago - they're quite famous for their stage shows which are very pyrotechnic and also the fact they've never "sold out" by singing in English.
  18. Hasn't everyone known for decades that Kelly Holmes is gay?
  19. You can add Kenya and of course Northern Ireland to the list of post World War 2 British imperial cuntishness.
  20. Supposedly thinking of not replacing him which to be fair is actually more honest than appointing a mate then fucking him over.
  21. As I've said before the problem is once you win that power you have to think about retaining it which means keeping the racists/bigots happy. I know it's a simplistic statement but we'd be better off trying to change their minds rather than accepting it.
  22. Because "clever" finance cunts fill it with macros to change figures then auditors think proper systems are incorrect.
  23. I think the aim is two fold - continuing the "lefty lawyer" narrative and a simple boost to their racist voters - the policy is now backed by more people than opposed according to polls.
  24. Fucking "star chamber" - joint IQ below 20.
