  1. Everyone fully vaccinated including kids older than 12 would be my best case scenario.
  2. I agree but I don't really understand given the purchase surpluses.
  3. I was on the tube last Friday and as well as noting the "seat gap" rules were now being ignored compared with a month ago, of the six people sitting opposite me, 4 were rocking the mask not covering their nose look so I think there's a tendency towards non-compliance anyway. In general I think they've miscalculated in thinking everybody will embrace "normality" and the economy will be boosted - a lot of nervous/sensible people will simply not go into shops or bars with no masks or distancing if they feel uncomfortable and it could actually reduce footfall.
  4. He said there's no obvious endpoint to do it and nobody screamed "how about when every fucker's vaccinated! ".
  5. I'd like to think people with kids would wake up to the fact they're being chucked under the bus but I suppose the tory base have proven time and time again they don't give a fuck about young people or anything that affects them.
  6. It's still packed trains that's my biggest worry rather than masks themselves. Maybe the supposed hybrid working pattern with less travelling will make it tolerable but we'll see.
  7. It's like the champions league 3 years ago with Henderson..... "Can anyone remember a Geordie captaining a side winning the European Cup?" It took about 2 minutes for people to reel off Charlton, Clark and Carrick. Fucking thick Mackem bastards the lot of them.
  8. Cunt-off in the semi-final now.
  9. Mutations still make me nervous but I accept we can't hold off forever. Still think we should vaccinate the kids.
  10. My limited knowledge is that all the banks and I'm guessing other financial services companies planned for the worst case scenario of no deal from the start and shifted operations to offices elsewhere. We moved all EU client services to Dublin but I assume others chose other cities as appropriate. Billions in assets were also moved. It's affected jobs obviously and also tax revenues will reduce - I'm sure thick cunt Brexiteers will ignore the lost revenue and expertise as they're too stupid to understand it (CT). On the bright side were all setup to become a tax evasion monster without US or EU oversight - almost as if that was a motivation for those in power.

    Yes Gemmill...

One for the old gits - Stuart Damon out of The Champions has died. I didn't realise his co-star Alexandra Bastedo died 7 years ago - she was one of my first crushes along with Julie Newmar out of Batman.

Power spike in hell as he burns...
  13. They were offered an exemption for music touring by the EU but turned it down.
  14. I know it's easy to say, but despite the obvious lies about staying in the SM/CU it was obviously the main driving force of the leave movement and voters was to end freedom of movement so not realising stuff like music touring was definitely going to be fucked needed an enhanced degree of blindness/stupidity.
  15. It's the opportunity to mutate into something that evades the vaccines to a greater degree that the increase in cases worries me the most.
  16. I was just saying at the weekend that being seen as an outstanding performer in music turns people blind to certain things - like how Michael Jackson hasn't been Glittered out of existence. I know he wasn't convicted but neither was Savile. See also Clapton's racism and Bowie's flirtation with fascism - the latter being excused as being a fashion thing rather than ideological.
  17. His boss has a toddler's petty grudge about being sacked by Michael Howard for lying about the same thing so he's safe.
  18. It's dodgy as fuck how the sun got the cctv footage as well.
  19. I still don't understand how there's no mechanism for even investigating the PPE contract allocation stuff. A fucking pub landlord is handed 30m for a business he's just started and has no knowledge of and we're just supposed to say we'll that's good entrepreneurship without wondering where the money went and how. It fucking stinks but hang on, he's given a 15k job to someone he's knobbing - that'll do it.
  20. Another superstar fucking cheat.
  21. I'm generally in favour of PR - I'm just saying that an assumption that there's naturally an anti-tory alliance is a bit presumptive. I get that in principle a power broking party have to negotiate in good faith - I just don't think on the last few occasions the lib dems have shown good faith - their insistence on replacing Brown and stating they wouldn't work with Mliband or Corbyn being particularly offensive to me in the absence of any similar conditions on the other side. Perhaps if we did find a route to PR then more parties would emerge - a tories with a conscience type lib dem, a left-ish lib dem, a new Labour and a mainstream socialist party might satisfy most people from a voting pov but I'm not sure any major changes could occur once all the deals are done
  22. An anti-tory alliance sounds good until you remember the lib dems were perfectly willing to enter into a coalition with them and before anyone mentions that was under Clegg, they've only been too happy to do the same in councils all across the country.
  23. I don't want Benitez to go to Everton because I hate the cunts and don't want them to succeed. Also in a forlorn hope that the takeover might happen, I'd hate to see us do what Man City did and waste a year giving a shit incumbent manager a "fair chance".
  24. If 96% of new cases are the delta that would suggest the alpha is down to a couple of hundred and the original virus is effectively extinct - I think that has to be something to cling on to hope wise. Of course mutations might get even nastier which is why I'd press ahead with vaccinating kids instead of throwing them under the herd immunity bus.
  25. "You have to give him a bit of credit for the finish". No you have to say that was fucking brilliant.
