Not encouraging suppliers to close storage facilities to increase dividends would have been a good start.

Someone should mention that low wages are partially due to immigration but also 42 years of union suppression. Obviously the cunt never thought of wage growth as a boon from brexit but a bigger picture debate is needed.

Hendrick on to save us. -
Cracking tits but nowhere near as attractive as Penny Smith imo.

I suggested that when Starmer won. Only problem is the only talk of anyone so far is Wes Streeting. Beyond that - Cooper? , Burnham? - not exactly inspiring.

Not at all - 3 or 4 excellent holidays in the late 80s/early 90s then I went back 8 years ago just to see how it had changed. Now I like to go in October as its not as scorchio as the summer and its good for amateurish old git cycling as well as plenty of good restaurants and bars. I stay in slightly better standard of hotels these days compared to the first few times around. As Alex says the Troodos are worth a visit. One thing worth mentioning is that EU money has built a few motorways which means it's very easy to see the entire island but having said that the old roads are a much more pleasant drive if you enjoy stopping off and more scenery. Two years ago it was above 25 nearly every day with a couple of days a bit over 30 - the sea is very swimmable as well.

He was definitely almost human for a tory.

I'm going to Ayia Napa on the 21st for 17 days. Haven't been to Paphos since 86 but I imagine it's expanded a lot since then - back then it was definitely more for couples than elsewhere but I honestly don't know now.

I think most people took common ownership to mean nationalisation - I honestly don't know what common ownership would mean apart from a get out clause. Reeves has repeated ruled out income tax rises for the top 5%.
-
Nationalisation, income tax rates, abolishing UC and tuition fees all effectively ruled out. Lots of others not mentioned as yet like house of Lords abolition.

I haven't seen any sign of Starmer being open to anything not in the Mandelson playbook which is the problem as he's reneged on the promises he made to get elected. It weakens the pursuit of Johnson for lying (which Starmer hasn't really gone for anyway) as he's open to the same accusation.

If you're going to take positions which are more extreme than the tories just to appeal to the intolerant then you might as well go all the way.

Going full geek, he made a couple of excellent guest appearances in Stargate SG-1.

First day in the office since the start of March last year. Weird but at the same too familiar.

I don't mind doing the Steve Bennett episode - what a twat he was. -
Fucking Beglin who played for the scouse cunts in the 80s having a go at a team for wasting time - fuck right off.

Gove is a horrible, lying, shit-weasel cunt but my honest reaction to that vid of him dancing was him having a bit of fun after escaping that monstrously vie piece of shit he was married to shouldn't be begrudged. Just that one thing, obviously.

Dont know how true it is but I read the French have been getting their people out quietly for months.

Looks like they caved on vaccinating kids - too late of course.

Well I've seen ones that dealt with racism, abortion, downs syndrome and thalidomide so it isn't just nuns delivering bairns.
-
It might and possibly should cost Biden political capital but polls suggest Americans support the withdrawal - though his approval rating are down.

I rewatched An American Werewolf in London a couple of months ago after being semi-forced by my lass to watch Call the Midwife and hankering for the younger Jenny. Actually Call the midwife is okay from a nice, sedated viewing pov and also has some good insights into social change in the 60s.

What was wrong with a second referendum was that too many people were sick of it and wanted it finished - as well as the "we won so we don't want another vote" crowd. I'm sure there were indicative votes which failed by less than ten votes. I'm not saying he wasn't a cunt - just saying there were a few tentative chances to get something better.
