Just managed to buy some goat meat. I've never had it before and every time I hear it recommended is in a curry of some form.

 

Does anybody have a good recipe for curried goat meat?

 

If I get no answers from here then Papisto is getting a tweet.

I don't have a recipe but I'm sure Google probably has ;)

 

A Nigerian co-worker of mine eats curried goat daily and it looks and smells horrific :lol:

 

All I know about goat is that you have to cook it really slowly or it ends up dry and tough.

Aye, "cook it slowly" is about all I've got, too. I could go and ask at one of the many takeaways around here that serve curried goat, but since they never seem to have any customers yet mysteriously remain in business, something tells me they know as much about cooking goat as I do.

Treat as lamb according to the silver spoon. (Needs more seasoning though as not as tasty as lamb).

 

Only italian recipes though :(
