why in the fuck would you pay £150 for earphones :)

I use my earphones every day. With my ipod I probably use it more than anything else I own. 2 year guarantee. Works out at 20p a day.

Well worth it for the comfort and quality.

Some people spend £1000s on their tv and sky package for the best quality they can get, and barely watch it a couple of hours a day. That's a bigger rip off afaic.

There's not many people who sit with an old black and white portable in their living room to avoid spending too much on better quality.

I find the normal ipod earphones are grand. I wouldn't buy the wee cheap argos jobs for £3 but the apple ones are perfectó for me. I only use my ipod when walking home from school and in school and i seldom take it out when im out in the street or something.

Jesus :icon_lol: I wouldn't pay anymore than £20 on them

The cheaper the earphones, the better Eminem sounds ;)

Apart from poor sound quality the apple ones that come with the ipod are annoying as fuck if you're sat next to anyone wearing them. I agree it's not worth spending a fortune on ones if you're going to be listening to compressed music files on them anyway.

Ended up picking up some random bollocks from WH Smith of all places.

Basic functional headphones to get my by till I order some proper ones but I suppose I can keep them as spares when not in use.

£7 spent but better than listening to the general public.

Was just going to post something like that. The whole reason i spend so much on headphones is because i listen to compressed music.

I've had the Bose QC3s for about 2 years now and they are amazing for travel and commuting. However, i have had to replace the little cable / jack thingy 3 times. At 30 euros a pop, its a bit much.

Am going to replace them at the end of the year so am looking for some in the 300-400 price range. Any non-Bose recommendations welcome.

Just a little more....

Shure hasn't missed a single trick when it comes to the SE535s' sound quality. These are the best sound-isolating headphones we've ever heard, with only the SE530s able to compete in terms of raw clarity.
