I'm quite happy to have Smith here, i think somebody with his attitude and charcteristics will be good for our team and i'm sure he'll fit well into the kind of formations and tactics Big Sam has planned. Getting the likes of him and Barton in will give us a big kick up the arse and we'll see alot less of our team giving up and getting out fought all the time. The likes of Smith,Barton,Butt,Taylor of those we know will put some effort into the game. If they can bring the workrate up of some of the other players then it can only be a good thing. That's the only issue. As a player (so long as his injury hasn't Carr'd him) he should be good, but where he's going to "fit" in the plan I'm not so sure about.
