I think he gets an inordinate amount of slagging considering no-one ever knew what the fuck he did. If he is supposedly just the tea-boy, then how does he get the blame for NUFC being shite? On the other hand, no-one will accept he has ever been given a major coaching role, apart from when Keegan was around. So when we shoot up the table in the next few weeks, I hope T-Mac gets all the recognition he deserves. :lol:

I think it's because he seems so "old school" and that Souness brought him back when football had moved into the 21st century with sports science specialists and so on "to raise spirits" people get the idea he's a bit behind the times, and assume (or as HF says, find it amusing to perpetuate the idea) he is only good for puting out the cones and nipping down the bookies. If he can help recreate the feel good factor of the mid nineties you won't here me complaining.

 

Any idea what he did between his two stints with us? Wikipedia has drawn a blank.
